Weird few days of karma

The last few days have been really weird, but in a good way.

It all started on Monday evening, when I went to the ATM. Just before I put my card in, I noticed money still sitting in the machine. The person before withdrew $200, took their card and slip, but forgot to take their cash. For a micro second, I thought of keeping it, but I've lost my wallet in the past and know what it's like to lose any amount of cash.

Since the bank was closed, I took the money with me, to return it to the bank the next day. When I went back the next day, I didn't reach the bank before it closed, so I had literally beg the security guard to let me speak with a manager.

I explained the situation, and judging from the look on her face, was surprised I returned the money.

Yesterday, on my way home from the gym, I found a weekly metropass, valid for this week, which is worth $36. People were walking over it, so I scooped it up and passed it to one of my friends who needed one.

About an hour ago, I got on the bus, saw this really ugly change purse sitting on the seat. Nobody else paid attention to it, so again I scooped it. Opened it up and inside was about $22 and handful of bus tokens. Unfortunately no id was inside, so I have no way of finding its rightful owner.

Now if only I can find a wallet that belongs to a really hot hairy guy who would be forever grateful!icon_lol.gif

Turn-in the purse to the metro bus/rail lost and found. That's likely where the owner will check for it. And do it quickly because the lost and found may not have the mind of contacting the owner should the owner check there before you turn in.
