I am not beautiful--and in so being, allow others to have something to compare to. And therein lies my beauty.

self proclamations of beauty are always sooooooo beautiful.

There is a certain beauty to the inanities of Dada, as the OP demonstrates on a more or less regular basis.

Contextual truth.

Total and utter selflessness in the face of impending doom...I think would qualify. Such as pushing someone out of the way of an oncoming vehicle and taking one for the team.

good heart, and strong will can qualify as beauty.

The Folly of Being Comforted

One that is ever kind said yesterday:
`Your well-belovéd's hair has threads of grey,
And little shadows come about her eyes;
Time can but make it easier to be wise
Though now it seems impossible, and so
All that you need is patience.'
Heart cries, `No,
I have not a crumb of comfort, not a grain.
Time can but make her beauty over again:
Because of that great nobleness of hers
The fire that stirs about her, when she stirs,
Burns but more clearly. O she had not these ways
When all the wild summer was in her gaze.

O heart! O heart! If she'd but turn her head,
You'd know the folly of being comforted.

People always delude themselves into thinking they are they compliments people ascribe to themselves, when in fact a beautiful person is someone who understands human beings and has an open mind to do so

Playing Devil's advocate here....

Look, we all KNOW what is aesthetically pleasing, period. So, wouldn't you say the structure of the face? Their height? Their weight? Their overall build?

Yes, a lot of what was shared are GREAT qualities in a person and personality traits we all want a person and ourselves to have, but let's face it, if an non-aesthetically pleasing person was THAT good of a person and so was a VERY aesthetically pleasing person, who would you go for??? I mean come on!

Laughter, joy, courtesy, love, generosity, strength, intelligence, integrity and confidence. All internal beauty.

And a muscly backside doesn’t hurt either.
