Love is just a four letter word and an illusion

Do you agree? Can love be truly altruistic and how so?

Isn't the idea of love to be selfless? Open and welcome to the opportunity? letting those shine in your presence regardless of how brilliant their lite is in comparison to yours. Offering partnership yet space as an individual. building blocks of growth in support for yourself and others being an example w/out ridicule. I started out as a believer! too many questions unanswered.

Can you be truly altruistic when loving someone and not expecting thier love in return?

Realistically NO! but in the world of make believe where we find ourselves falling helplessly in love I'd say yes. That's when someones presence in your life makes you feel vibrant and you separate who you are and who you want to be w/ this person. Some ppl give and need nothing in return. (ppl please'rs) but it must be lonely.

What is your idea of altruism?

Because I'm sure if you know the word you know the debate behind the concept.
