    Hey Everyone!

So, odds are that I'll be going to New York City with my class during Reading Week, from February 15th to 19th (Mon-Fri). I'm so friggen excited, not only cause New York is such an incredible city but also cause it'll be my first time on a plane. Aaaaah!

Anyways, it's never to early to start planning!! My days will be occupied with class-based things, but basically after 3pm the students are free to do whatever they want. There's so much I'd love to see/do, I don't even know where to begin.

What are some places you would suggest? I'm staying at the Affinia 50 Hotel, which is near 50th and Park Ave (I'm still finding it so weird how your streets are mostly numbered lol). Among some of the types of places I'd really like to go include:

    -Gay (or gay-friendly) Gyms

    -Gay Bars/Clubs -- where's NY's gay "village"??

-other places a young gay guy should check out

-Places to eat (not too pricey though)

    -Attractions, events, theaters, whatever else

Any input would be really appreciated! Thanks guys!

Hm - just left NYC.. but...

Food is hard - totally depends what you like - TONS of cheap stuff in NYC. East village has some good spots that aren't super expensive..

If you wanna do theater - look up the TKTS booth - good way to see the Broadway shows for cheap. The Met on 5th ave and 70s is good - and free (they have suggested donation - but just give a couple bucks - I used to not pay at all!).

    Gay area is Chelsea, mostly...

Um... yeah. Hard to say cause I know NYC so well that I could get mighty specific about restaurants, etc - just depends what you're after icon_smile.gif
