    Hi
i need advice from everyone and pls if your not gonna give a professional advice spare me the crap.
Brief History: i use to be fat i weighed around 120kg and my height is 176cm my bone structure is average. I lost weight and went down to around 65kg then 1`gradually gained 10kg to become stable at 75kg. i changed my eating habits completely though i do indulge at times. I been keeping the weight off for 10 years + now but i got a few issues that still bother meand i need advice.
I have been working out religously for 9 months before that i did for 6 months but stopped for two years and now im back as i said above ive been workig out for 9 months and making sure i take in enough protein and i can say my meals are balance and healthy. My gains hvae been minimal which made me depressed and now im on deanxit for depression. To go back to my questions :
i- im resuming workout or actually ive resumed so im need a new approach im thinking of taking testosterone boosters thats one
ii- Im still soft around the edges though i do abs and eat as little carbs as possible my abs have been stubborn and nothing more than my upper abs are visible. I still got visible love handles and no matte what exercise no matter what topical slimming cram or drug i take they never go .
iii- In combination to testosterone booster im thinking of adding Nitric oxide and laying off Creatine .

I really need advice cause not seeing any gains is making me depressed.

    Thanks all

Firstly, if that´s you in the pic then you are handsome. It´s much easier to sort out the body than the face, or grow 5 inches if you think you are too short. So celebrate the positive icon_biggrin.gif

    (1) Chucky will tell you to do the testosterone booster. Best thing is to find out from a medical doctor if that´s really necessary. I am no more a medic than chucky is. Unless you have some underlying medical issue, then it´s not the first thing to change.
    (2) In lifting terms you are a beginner, perhaps just verging on intermediate, depending what you actually have been doing in the gym: there should be plenty of scope for improvement without chemical intervention for purely weight loss issues.
    (3) Carb starving is not the way forward.

Really, before we can say anything really helpful, we need to know (1) exactly what you think a good diet is (2) exactly what you have been doing in the gym.

I strongly suspect that the first chapters of your improvement are to do with those issues.

Consider that what you see as love handles (fat) may be skin. If you lost a lot of weight the skin may not snap back into place. Discuss that with your doctor or some professional to see if that's what it is.

    I'll second that you're handsome.

I don't know the legal status of legit test boosters in Zambia, but at 39 you may be experiencing declines in test levels that could also be affecting your mood and contributing to depressive symptoms. I'd get your test levels checked and see if you can go on medical treatment for that (e.g., androgel) before doing anything else that might have legal consequences where you are.

Love handles: you can keep up the cardio and clean diet and eventually they'll reduce, and you can lift hard and widen your back to make them less visible. There are surgeries for that too, but geez-- is it really catastrophic to have a bit of extra weight around your midsection?

I'd also get a couple sessions with a therapist if you're depressed over how you look; therapy and medication is almost always more effective than either alone. In my experience with patients experiencing body dysmorphic symptoms, the feeling won't go away no matter what you look like.

Stop with the antidepressant medication. Not making the gains you would like in the gym is a piss poor reason for taking them.

It may be more complicated than that?

i don't know what your budget is , but possibly a consultation with a nutritionist and a trainer could help to put you on the right track.

I have no expertise in lifting, god forbid i give any advice!
but about losing weight, fat is distributed all over the body and you can't make fat go away in specific locations. Your system decides where it digs into the fat cells when it needs to.
I "think" if you mix a lot of cardio and lift you won't gain mass, but you'll gain tone and get slimmer. But again, i don't really know about the mass thing.
    I'm into endurance sports .

First of all you are an attractive.
    Many guys will second that.
    However, regarding your love handles,
    I agree with xassantex above.
Do more cardio, lose another 10-15 pounds
    and continue moderate weight-lifting.
