I've been baking most of my life and create most of own receipes, I usually take a recipe and tweak it so that's it's somewhat over the top....

One of my favorites - Stuffed Strawberries with brandy sauce
First dip the Strawberries in a good chocolate like scharffenberger.
Let harden, then us a small knife to carve out the white pith thats in the center
Chop some hazelnuts and pceans, saute them in butter for a few minutes to soften, then add some tripplesec, little more butter and some brown suger, want the final results to be a crumbly mixture, IMPORTANT, let this cool..
Stuff the hollowed out strawberries with the above, arrange on a small plate and drizzle with a basic hard/brandy sauce..., Sounds complicated but takes about 20m to make a few dozen..

Unfortunately for me, my "weakness" for good baking trumps that for good spelling.

Too bad your recipe doesn't involve baking! icon_surprised.gif

If you don’t stop with your gastronomical stimulation, I may be forced to block you.

When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming a pastry chef.....however, I became an electrician....lol. I still like to cook and bake and do tend to experiment from time to time. One of my favorite recipes of my own design is a Carrot Cake Cheesecake. icon_smile.gif

    Homemade cookies. Specifically chocolate chip.

I try and only eat them in social settings so I have incentive to restrain myself from stuffing my face.

I've never had much of a weakness for baked goodies.

But jelly beans (the basic ones, not the fancy ones) and Necco conversation hearts... I lose all control with those. Oh and candy corns. Grrrr I can do some damage to a bag of any of those. Chocolate? pfttt no thanks.

English Trifle. Thankfully, they take a lot of work to make so I don't have them very often. Please keep your jello out of them. icon_wink.gif

I like variations as well as the traditional trifle I grew up with...but not with jello...ewwww

Candy corns? That's the stuff we always throw out. If you have to have a sweet tooth, though, that is the way to go (healthwise). Now where's them chocolate eclairs?

Like a few others, I briefly considered becoming a pastry chef. Even as a child, I had the very odd habit of waking up from terrible dreams and regaining my composure by baking. The first few times my parents heard banging in the kitchen, they snuck down to discover me whipping batter. The loved waking up to pineapple upside down cake... with one slice already gone, of course.

Haven't made a pineapple upside cake in 25 years.

If I have weaknesses though, they are fresh...
    - chocolate chip cookies with oatmeal and walnuts
    - double chocolate fudge brownies
    - carrot cake with crushed pineapple, coconut and pecans (hubby's fave)
and the one thing I absolutely cannot turn away from
    - apple pie

Have an incredible sweet tooth that I have to self-regulate; otherwise, I'd get high off my own supply lol.

But love baked goods; especially from scratch.

Brownies with Strawberry Ice Cream and Hot Fudge on top
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies with Vanilla Ice Cream
Chocolate Chip Cookies with Coffee Caramel Ice Cream
    Lemon Meringue Pie
    Banana Bread with chocolate drizzle
Cinnamon Rolls with Pecans topped with Cream Cheese frosting
Pecan Coffee Cake w Raspberry drizzle

    I would say I have a sweet tooth...haha

Chocoloate!!! Especially dark chocolate. Bringing choc mud cake into my house is just hostile, it goes straight down my throat. (Oh, that's what she said! icon_lol.gif )

Oh and beer, I love love love the taste of a good beer, something like Coopers Sparkling Ale. Too bad it has so many empty calories, and the whole alcohol business. icon_cry.gif

boyfriends birthday this weekend so there is going to be some serious munching this weekend.

Sunday looks to be pizza day...2 sausage pies, he can finish a whole one, I peter out at about 6 slices.

Probably do the dessert on Saturday which is going to be his choice and it seems like he wants Chocolate Cake with lots of icing
