I've seen this play once: my sister's christian high school.

I've gotta admit, they were nearly just as good. I wouldn't be surprised to see half of the girls she graduated with on broadway.

I'm sure I have the video somewhere...

I missed Wicked when It came to Phoenix like 5 months ago. Oh well! I heard it wasn't that great this go around.

I've never seen Wicked but I have read the book and I would love to see it. After watching the clips I can honestly that if I were to see I know I wouldn't be disappointed.

Hey, I'm a huge Wicked fan myself - but I gotta rain on the parade regarding re-posting of unauthorized recordings.

What seems "harmless" or "overzealous" actually cheapens the value of the performances. It's prohibited by the producers, by the performers, and by copyright law.

It can ruin the experience for people who haven't seen the show, or lessen it for those of us who have. (For instance, if you look carefully in this clip, the secret to how Elphaba flies is revealed).

Please consider posting "official" video such as
    http://www.wickedthemusical.com/page.php#Video
    vs. bootleg stuff.

Ugh i hope it wont get made into a movie (but it will)

Movies ruin musicals!! its always true icon_sad.gif
That is why you should always see the musical before the movie!!

Idina is indeed a diva, but there are other elphabas that seem more passionate about the song, and have amazing riffs, but there's no one like Kristin Chenoweth for Glinda!

Yup! I totally agree with you! Kristin Chenoweth is the perfect Glinda!

In the Australian production, Jemma Rix played Elphaba exactly as I imagined it. And her voice! Holy shit, I had goosebumps every time she opened her mouth. The end of the first act (Defying Gravity) was amazing!

I've not seen the broadway version, but it would be hard to top her performance. Recordings just don't do it justice. You need to see the performance live.

Actually, I think the Wicked producers are happy about the boots that circulate so widely. Strangely, the boots just seem to create more interest in the show.

OTOH, the poster who mentioned that his sister's Christian high school did the show perhaps should have left that unmentioned. The whole show? I don't think the producers or the authors (especially) would be happy about that. It's totally illegal to do the show at this point. It's not been licensed, and I'd be very surprised if they got special permission. That school could be sued if the authors and producers found out.
