You know what people's definition of real food is?

A chicken nugget, hot dog, twinkie or a hamburger. As in "eat a cheeseburger." Anything that's manufactured and loaded with sodium and preservatives is considered real food by most Americans. Healthy food such as spinach greens, lettuce, carrots, nuts and seeds is considered rabbit food. That's why 60% of Americans weigh more than the bed they sleep in. Guess it depends on who's asking.

    Did you know???

That on Maui, the mayor hands out a business card and it is packed with seeds. On the card it reads. Plant a garden and grow your own food. Anyone can grow and eat better...

    Yeah,

I have had that type of food to. Almost like the ATKINS recommended diet right? High fat and High protein?

My salad did have chunks of cheese in it. I just forgot to mention it. I like fresh and greens for the fiber. All protein can bog me down.

    Do I eat ' real food? '

assuming this is not a Peter Pan reference ...

do these count? because I eat them all the time (and it shows, ha):

    - bacon cheeseburgers
    - gummi candies
    - apple pie
    - oatmeal raisin cookies
    - whole (large) pizzas
    - McDonald's chicken nuggets (weird, but new thing I've noticed I do)
    - Dunkin Donut sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches

it's why I have come to accept not ever having abs. I'm fine with that if I get to enjoy the aforementioned!

I was lazy and didn't feel like cooking so I splurged and brought in. For $6 I started off with a big piece of watermelon (fruit digests quickest so I eat it first) and finished up with a whole wheat wrap of fresh carved-off-the-carcass turkey breast, substituting cranberry sauce for dressing, plus four preboiled egg whites I happened to have in the fridge on the side. Yeah, the cranberry sauce had a little sugar in it but a man's gotta live, right? Had I remembered the spring salad mix still in the fridge I'd have thrown the egg whites on them with a splash of balsamic vinegar.

Did you get your $3 dinner off a salad bar, mystic_man? I find they're the best value if you load up smartly, i.e. avoiding the heavy mayo. I try to hit them in the morning, before they're sneezed on!

No. I subsist entirely upon energy provided by sub dermal chloroplasts. A little bit of sun, some water and a few spoonfuls of dirt and I'm good.

I have a vegi garden, and fruit trees, the Lorikeets get the fruit, and a lot of the veggies end up in the compost bin, what can you do with 50 capsicums in one hit?

But I do support what you say. Yet I really need someone to cook for me, as I eat real food all the time, home cooked stuff, but I eat for mood and not what I should eat; but if some-one made it for me I would eat it.

For dinner last night I had Turkey Wellington, and a few vegies. Breakfast a bowl of uncooked rolled oats with milk, and lunch to T bone steaks, and salad.

Have not decided what I'll have for dinner, maybe tuna and pasta bake, or a Shepherd's pie. I may go get a Japanese Platter.

    OMG

    That really sounds good!

There is this place in San Diego that I always go to. It's that thin crust old style pizza and it's the best. Seriously. I love the tomato pizza with feta cheese and mozzarella and parmesan and the sauce is killer. Dam...I need to go get some nowicon_mad.gif

went to gym at 5 pm,after i had a small protein bar and went straight to the car show.
Came out at 10pm and back home had some chinese noodles ( i finally found some low in sodium at 6% r.d.i. ) with a bit of sesame oil and rice vinegar,
and a small bowl of cereal ( non sugary ) .

    me = vegetarian.

Although I respect guys that eat healthy, organic, low fat foods; I dated a guy who does, and quickly realized that is not for me. I just can't stand the way most of it tastes, especially after growing up in the south and having fried everything on my plate. I don't eat a lot of fried foods (mostly because I can't cook and not many restaurants in Chicago don't serve it), but wouldn't hesitate to wolf some down if offered. I figure as long as I'm active, fit and healthy(ish) then it doesn't really matter much to me.

Matey get two coz they sound yummy, and I'll meet you in the Gazebo, at the Japanese Garden in Hilo. Big Island. Now that would be a treat.
