Does anyone know if there is a web app for the iphone that can track fitness progress or a way to use it that will do that?

I just created a note for each day (e.g. Chest and Shoulders) and then keep track of the exercises, weights, sets and reps that way. I update it as I change weights or add or change exercises.

I know this is super late, but there's an app now called Fitocracy that I like to use!

There's an app called Jefit that demonstrates many different gym exercises. I sometimes open it if I need an extra exercise in my routine and don't know what to do.

I use GymBuddy for strength training and Digifit for cardio. Digifit integrates with a heart rate monitor and other tracking devices.

All Fitness is the best one by far. It's like $1.99 or something

I really like JeFit, so much so that is the first all I started with using the free version and bought the full version even though the free version is great, too.
