I made a shortened video version of "25 things about me" to my closest friends on Facebook . I posted it on dec 25th 2009. Here's the video--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Cxnb-2V2TU .
And here are some of the comments my friends left me:

(FYI: T - is the first letter of my name Kuya - means brother &/or a polite way to address an older cousin or friend)

"Just say when and I'll go!" -> this is to # 3

" Hey T, I def think that was the most words at one time I've ever heard you say. Wanna come to Montreal? icon_biggrin.gif Free room n board, plus tour guide."

    " real brave T!"

"props... and yeah that's the most I've ever heard you talk LOL"

" I'd rather have Sharingan! yeah yeahhh! And props to you for being able to tell us man. Mad respect."

" yea props. not very many people are able to be honest with themselves and open up at the same time and you were able to do both. and yes i agree with the special power, that would prolly be mine too haha. "

    "cool vid T!..."

"aweee! i'd give you a big hug if i were there - but i'm not so i owe you a hug! Props to you for finding the courage to tell us. (="

"You're awesome T! Always have always been. Thanks for sharing that."

" I loved the video T! And Im so happy that you shared it with me! If you are ever looking for a travel buddy Im your girl."

" T, i respect you so much for your courage and honesty. and for being true to yourself and with others. icon_smile.gif props!"

"hey buddy, i'm happy and proud of you for sharing and expressing yourself. It aint easy but at least you can be yourself around friends and family. ..."

"Good for you T! Looks like a big relief off your shoulders. I commend you for stepping out of your comfort zone and openin up to us. As long as your happy T!! And whenever your down for Japan I'm in and I agree with #5 as well."

"WOW T. For a guy who doesnt talk much you sure said a lot in that last piece!!! lol. But honestly T, beautifully said. Your a wonderful guy with such a great heart, and im so lucky to have you as a friend!icon_razz.gif"

    "Nice T.
Fullmetal Alchemist FTW! Please tell me it just slipped your mind.
PS. You should make another video of your singing exploits. I myself am pretty brave with singing if you mix alcohol and rock band."

"Nicely done T, proud of you for having the courage to do that. Hey wanna go skydiving in Japan next week?"

"we love you T! always have, always will."

    " :] looooves you."

"Way to go T! with all the courage that must have taken looks like your fact #1 isn't a fact anymore haha."

"Let's go CELEBRATE how awesome you are.... in Japan!!!!"

"Bravo Kuya!!!!!!!I'm so proud of you, always remember, we love you of what & who you are."

"T, no matter what... we love you for who you are! This doesn't change anything! We still and always will love you!! See you when you get back icon_smile.gif"

" I'm so proud of you! love you kuya T! icon_biggrin.gif"

" I'm so happy for you! I am soooo proud of you! I think you need to take a visit to to Vancouver ;)"

"Yo T just wanted to send u a line and let u know that I watched your video. It takes alot of guts to step up and tell us and I'm happy u did. Your one of my closest friends since we were little and none of that changes, I hope u know that. We got your back homie and I just felt it'd be cool to let u know that..."

"Hey T,Just watched your video. Thank you for telling me. To tell you the truth I had absolutely no clue. I almost didn't watch it because I thought that it was just another one of those things that people forward you know. I was shocked, but I am glad that you know who you are and what you want in life. I am glad that you feel that you don't need to hide it. you and your kuya are the closest things that I have to brothers. I will always love the both of you no matter what."

Hey T, It took a lot of guts to do what you did. Just wanted to let you know that you'll ALWAYS have a cousin and a friend in me..."

I was always afraid that the people closest to me wouldn't approve. I'm glad I was wrong^_^

*edit: haha. I just realized that my youtube name has my name in it. I guess it was pointless to try to hide it.

Awesome idea. Was it like bungee jumping? You seemed really keyed up doing it. But I think you are going to have an exhilarating time lving this next year with your life as a unity and not the duality you have had to endure previously. Bet you become more talkitive. ... icon_wink.gif

OMG... icon_eek.gif... you're in Skatchw'n. Anywhere near Dog River?

I've heard a bunch of jokes about Skatchw'n. But I can only remember the punch line....it's the same for all of them... "cuz nobody lives there" ... icon_lol.gif

You know you're from Saskatchewan when...

Losing sight of the horizon, for even a few seconds, leaves you with an 'icky' feeling of disorientation for the rest of the day.

You're confused when cars come equipped with options that would never be needed, such as curb feelers and turn signals and yet, obvious options like trailer hitches and air conditioning, are extras.

You actually understand, and perhaps can describe in detail, the necessity for geographical correction lines.

You can't understand why those American television networks never settle on a schedule, instead of shifting all their programs back and forth an hour every spring and fall.

You always know Christmas is near because stores stay open late TWO nights a week rather than one.

You rent off-season storage space for your snowmobile on a week-by-week basis.

You understand, and become quite emotional, when some outsider doesn't know the difference between a farmer and a rancher.

You overhear someone explain how he installed a counter binder on his combine's pulley-driven wheat flattener with a square head hydrostatic coupler, using a universal bushing degreaser, and you can't believe he left only 5 inches of clearance between the kernel rotor and the straw-feed regulator - the idiot!

Your pronunciation of "Saskatchewan" is down to 1 syllable: "Skatchw'n."

Once every 23 years you perform strange ritualistic dances in public places (Riders win Grey Cup).

    Runner ups

You never realized you had a fear of heights until the day you made the mistake of peering down an open well.

You're on a first-name basis with the clerks at the Payless Shoe store in Minot.

Your other vehicle is a Massey.

When the bank teller asks for some form of identification, you point to the arm patch on your slow-pitch jacket.

You question why they didn't call them the Cypress Mountains.

While cleaning out your teenage son's closet, you're alarmed to discover tucked away in the back a foot-high stack of old "Western Producers".

You've required a total of 40 stitches over the years for various lacerations suffered while doing the butterfly at wedding dances.

Every birthday you receive exactly the present you most desperately need: a new curling broom.

You actually have enough ball caps to match every shirt you own, although you still insist on wearing only one so the others don't get dirty.

Aww this is a charming video. You're very cute and sweet, and I admire your courage. I'm still not out to the family, so perhaps I'll make one of these vids sometime soon. I actually think confirming my gayness on facebook is easier than having to tell 300 people face-to-face, haha.

    Best of luck!

Congratulations on taking such a big step man! I know it's not easy. I just came out to my family on January 2nd. Your video was great. I'm sure not having to hide such a big part of you will help with the whole shy thing too. I can definitely relate. Good luck from here on out! icon_biggrin.gif

Hey, congratulations. That was a charming video, thank you for sharing it with us as well. I'm sure now you know and value more your true friends. On a side note, I totally agree with #8. Filipino food is so good and hard to resist yet tend to be high in calories from carbs and fats! You are not alone! icon_biggrin.gif

    Kudos.

I've never could quite understand how people who are close to a gay person, how they would not know that they are gay by just being around them, unless they are not paying attention to them at all. I mean even one's family must at least suspect this when they see you show no interest in women and never date any. I can't imagine how anyone can even possibly hide this from them when they can observe that you don't ever look at women, date them etc. How can one's family and those close t o you who can see that you aren't dating any women not know that you are gay? How can one even possibly hide this from them, unless when you are around them you pretend to like women and maybe even date some so they don't suspect. But otherwise, won't they just sort of figure it out by observing your actions without you even saying anything?

Really pleased by your friends' feedback... that'll separate the wheat from the chaff, which is very necessary in Skatch'wan.

    Awwwww... icon_redface.gif

Girl Power! errr....I mean Man Power! icon_cool.gif

Good on yah Tyrone. With time and others seeing your video, you will inspire many to do the same thing as you do. I fight the demon everyday but I'm starting to get tired of fighting it half assed when I know I can go all our and defeat that an an instant. I totally believe that living one life well, and not two live's good will bring true happiness to all that choose to go that route.

I know we may offend people we know, we may offend people we don't know. But for those who feel threatened, I've learned they have demons themselves that need to be conquered. Now if I could just make it look easier than it sounds...lol.

Thanks again for sharing with us some of your life. Gawd sometimes technology is great huh!? icon_biggrin.gif

This can also depend on where you live to,and the things you do with the people around you.

it like if you come and spent a week with me in my home in the city, you would see one side of Pattison, and then the next week we went camping in the bush with tents. You would see another side of Pattison. So if all you knew was the bush Pattison you may not pick it up. Gees all the guys in the bush that took forever to make a pass at me, coz they just never knew if I was or not, and all they had to do was as flat out, are you.

I recall coming to the city with a mate from the bush once, and for the first time he seen me check out a hot guy the passed us by, and he said to me:
" pick one with a good looking girlfriend, so I can entertain her, while you have your way with him." I just laughed and said "OK."

I must concede in a way it's easier to do it on the net than in person, as for one, the way I put things in writting, may not always be the same way I put things in person; albeit in many ways I write the way I speak. I have told people here at RJ, things I'm not talking about out here yet, and may never will.

    But good on ya anyway.
