I get a pain in my elbows, particularly left one, when I do curls or similar. My MD says its probably arthritis or rheumatism, and to take Tylenol for it. But I don't want to just mask the pain and risk really injuring the elbow. Anybody take anything that is good for joints?

I searched RJ and the only thing I came up with is Flax Seed Oil, which I might try, although that is more of a general supplement.

    Thanks

I'm concerned that you may have lateral or medial epicondylitis (um, tennis elbow or golfer's elbow), which is actually tendonitis and not arthritis. Those respond well to steriod injections, ice, and REST.

I have some mild arthritis and take Glucosamine/Chondroitin which helps considerably.

In any case I'd be gettin me a second opinion if I were you...

Thanks Fitfunmich., I will mention that to my DR. The pain fortunatly does not last beyond the movement involved, so if curls hurt while I'm doing them, there is no lingering pain for other excercises. Nor does it carry over into everylife life.

I take a twice daily combination of glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM, and once or twice a year I get a steroid injection im my right shoulder.

I recently started taking Osteo-Bi-Flex for some of my pain. Also getting Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Only 22 but history of that in my family

My doctor also recommended flaxseed oil (which I have switched to an omega complex). I used to have shoulder pain in the joint itself, and while I can't prove the supplement was the "cure" for it, it certainly has done me no harm after 2 years.

Thanks for all your replies. This is the best site on the web. I will try some flaxseed oil, and check out Osteo Bi-Fex and glucosamine chondroitin, and ask my md about the nandrolone.
