I feel like I don't need this site anymore. I don't need workout tips and I'm good at finding guys on my own. What are the benefits to keeping my profile?

Just keep it in case you get bored - you know, like just entertainment. It's free and you can keep the account and only use it when you want to. I have insomnia and it's an alternative to TV.

Sometimes the drama is rather trivial. Main reason: saves on Sean COdy subscription icon_rolleyes.gif

Well I don't need the fitness tips as I've had the same personal trainer for over 5 years now, and thats what I pay him for.

The thing that attacked me to this site is the whole concept is not to find hook ups, and all about sex; well not for me anyway.

I like the forums, it gives me a place to go to be diffrent to the guy I am out here. Many would be shocked at how sweet, and compliant I am out here. Still a man. If you wanna throw stones in my yard, you will get rocks back.

But it also gives me a place to put those things on the table, and chew the fat over them, that I can't out here because people won't do it with me out here. I'm certainly not here looking for acceptance, because I gave myself that years ago.

it's also the only time in my life I interact with homosexual on mass, and has let me know I'm not missing out on anything by not having a lot of gay people in my life out here. it's also the only time I'm presented with gay issues too,as they are not apart of my daily life, as I'm accepted out here to. Some would tell thats because I'm White and Privileged; albeit we still have our trails and tribulations.

But just if I was planning to leave this world, there would be no announcement, as there would be none here either. I would be like a gay magician; poof and I'm gone.

But from what you said you have left before, so you may well come back agin. Do whatever you feel is right in your heart, and follow it.

    I love the RJ forums.
I like to read other guys questions, comments, and opinions.
And, as many guys should know by now, i love to open my big mouth and give my opinion. LOL.
It's fun interaction with my gay community.

I am happy in a relationship, so I am not here looking for a guy! I love participating on the RealJock forums! it is the ONLY gay website out there that encourages gay men to discuss and share ideas that affects our everyday lives, and I don't mean just about sex, fashion, or politics!

I deleted my profile once because people annoyed the heck out of me everyday with e-mails about how they wanted to pretty much "snack on me."

I let it get to me, though.

Maybe you should delete it, though. It's all good, with or without.

If I ever had the thought of canceling my account, it would be for precisely the opposite reason: I couldn't help feeling hideous when I see the men on this site, all younger and more athletic than me, are so damn gorgeous; and it finally dawned on me that I would never meet anyone who'd be remotely attracted to me, online or in real life.

The forums! There's nothing like real time, commitment-free 24/7 access to a variety of opinions by a wide gay spectrum on often unpredictable topics.

No need to delete your account. It's not like you're forced to come on here everyday. Just log on when you're bored. Or just take your profile offline, rather than delete. That way you maintain your Buddy/Hot lists, as well as your previous emails. Ya know, in case you decided to come back. Again. icon_biggrin.gif

I would say it depends on your needs. For me it serves as a place to get additional information on fitness.. and it really is helpful, sometimes for reasons I don't get until after I do the reading and partially social.

I would say, leave it and go about your business. If you decide to return,
you may find it helpful in a way you haven't identified at present.

In addtion to health information, exercise and nutrition I've gotten tons of other information from other guys here.

    That includes:
being turned on to new music
    travel info and tips
political information on gay rights and organizations
    hobby and sports organizations

and sometimes when I have a problem that involves men, boyfriends, sex questions, dating, how other guys feel about relationships and love etc, there is usually always someone here who shares the same concerns or questions.

So you don't have to delete...........just check in when you feel like it...and check out when the posts get stupid or boring......or worse, abusive.
