but most of all what they don't want you to know is that he was a mind controlled programmed tool. Just like Obama, Tiger Woods, and Al fucking Sharpton...

It's funny how MLK's life is very much like Obama's. From plagiarizing speeches to sleeping with prostitutes. MLK preferred to beat his, Obama chose to kill his off? Oh America why must they mask the lies of history, spin disinformation like a silkworm to the masses, and heroize those who are public perverts? Yet we buy whatever they say as long as they at least feed us another line about equal rights for all, right?

Need we listen to racist diatribe?

in situations like this is better to leave it alone and not bother.. no need to explain a point of view when there is no reasoning.

Amen! Seriously, what leader did not have a few skeletons in the closet? As a matter of fact, what person does not have a few skeletons in thier closet? I think the point is to celebrate what they did good, while recognizing they were still human and it is human to err....Just maybe, but I could be wrong? Just saying...

Whatever his faults, whatever his failings, MLK along with thousands of others brought this country closer to its promise. That should never be forgotten. If for some reason, you cannot honor the man then celebrate the good that he helped bring about.

Speaking for myself, he is a hero and always will be.

Fact check: MLK was alive when they passed the Civil Rights legislation. He was killed after he publicly went against the Vietnam War.

    Happy MLK Day everyone.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

"A man who won't die for something is not fit to live."

"Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the world better."

"An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity."

"An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law."

"At the center of non-violence stands the principle of love."

"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent."

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

"Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed."

"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant."

What do we really ever know besides a "perceived" character based on our own senses, beliefs ,feelings, insight, and of course other opinions and viewpoints attached to those perceptions of ours? We can never know the full content of someone's character within the constraints of the human perception, so how can you judge someone merely on "content" alone? That's one of the main problems with the human condition, as well as those depicting me as a racist in this thread. lol

    Enjoy your tunnel vision.

To me, content, is when what someone says, and what they do... match up.
