It's really tough to pick against Serena and Roger. However ...

I'd like to see Venus play well against her sister, if they get that far of course. The woman who advances from the bottom half of the draw will have a stacked draw. I think that Clijsters or Henin could do some damage, more so Kimmy than Justine. However, Serena should do it unless someone can handle the power that she'll undoubtedly produce on the court.

Roger is a great pick, but if the courts are playing slower ... So many guys can contend. I'd like the Surly Sailor with Potty Mouth, Roddick to do something here ... Over the last year with Stefanki, he has FINALLY worked on certain parts of his game; Backhand, movement, and volleys. I can't see him beating Roger here; Heck, I can't see him beating Djokovic this year either, but it would be nice to see him do well.

Rafael is looking good, Djokovic is rounding into form, Tsonga has a solid game, Paris Hilton ... Erm, Davydenko would be my darkhorse to beat Federer. Midgets need love too ...

Djokovic has been struggling, and he's never done well in the heat. He might bow out early like he did last year. Nadal is doing fine but he still isn't where he was before. Davydenko is definitely a dark house, but I wouldn't count out Del Potro. Roddick does seem to have improved after all that work. I think the wild card might just be Baghdatis.

I'd be rooting for Clijsters. I think Safina would flake out as usual, while Wozniacki could go far again.

Eh, Wozniacki seems like a sweet girl, but she's so boring to watch. My support is behind Clijsters...I just like her. I'm actively rooting against Kuznetsova, Dementieva, and Henin.

I like Djokovic, he's my guy. I also tend to root for Tommy Haas, but it's been two rounds and he's already got a four-setter and a five-setter, that guy always tires himself out too early.

Unfortunately Clijsters lost in dramatic, inexplicably ugly fashion to Petrova. The women's draw just became more interesting without Clijsters and Dementieva, who I believe was really unlucky to have drawn Henin in the second round.

Interesting matches next: Baghdatis vs. Hewitt, Tsonga vs. Haas.

I want to see Venus win so badly! She never does well in Melbourne but her draw looks easy until a possible semi with Serena....shes just NEVER consistant unless shes at Wimbledon...i CANT BELIVE CLIJSTER GOT BEAT 6-0 6-1 last night!!! WOW

Id also love to Roddick sneak out of Melbourne with a win, the guy he played last night however was GORGEOUS

Completely shocked that Clijsters lost to Petrova ... The thing is that Kim made TONS of unforced errors. Petrova wasn't really doing anything to hurt Kim, Kim hurt herself. Such a disappointing loss ...

The bottom half of the Men's draw has some scorching match-ups.

Roddick-Gonzo ... Roddick in 4. Stefanki coached Gonzo for a few years, I'm sure that he has some tricks up his sleeve to help Roddick.

Cilic-DelPotro ... Cilic in 3. DelPotro's hurting and Cilic is waiting for his big break through.

Murray-Isner ... Murray in straights, but I'd love for Isner to steal a set or two.

Karlovic-Nadal ... THIS could be fun. Nadal in 4, but I'd love Dr. Ivo to give him a few problems.

For the Women; Wickmayer-Henin could be a fun match. I would laugh maniacally if Yanina beats Justine. Changing of the guard for Belgium ...

All of the women's matches today are pretty boring for me. *shrug* Zvonareva-Dulko could be fun, but they should go according to form. Of course, Petrova-Clijsters, Dulko-Ivanovic and Bondarenko-Jankovic were huge surprises. I will be shocked if Venus or Serena lose a set to either of their respective opponents.

I'm (belatedly) predicting Roddick and Serena Williams. I think Henin is too early in her comeback to win the finals, and I think that Roddick is in pretty fine form.

sad to see all the injuries.

That being said, hoping for a Tsonga vs. Murray final (unlikely, I know!).

And at this point, unfortunately, the only thing that would interest me in the women's draw would be if Na Li or Zheng made it to the final (again, unlikely, I know!). I am bored with the Williams sisters and Henin just rubs me the wrong way.

Women's - Justine Henin...would be the perfect comeback story

Men's - Daveydenko. Upset Fed and Rafa twice recently. He can do it again.

Would be so cool to see Andy Roddick back on top again. For the women, I'm always happy to see Serena or Venus win, but Henin would be a great comeback story to see this year. She has always sort of been an unsung hero of women's tennis.
