This really hurt my feelings and I need to get it off my chest okay? You were like, totally mean to me. I was talking to my bf alright? I like him better than you, I'd rather talk to him than you, so next time could you just wait for me to hang up? Really, the line behind me isn't that long. You didn't have to look so bitchy, I was almost done, I mean, I was holding up my finger, that usually means wait! But you just went on to that next guy, so, like, I hung up for nothing?
Anyway when you finally got around to me it was like you didn't even want to take my order. I was nice, okay? I know what I want is complicated, so I said it real slow so you could understand. It's a grande vanilla latte with two and a half pumps of the SUGAR-FREE syrup. And skim milk. But I want it extra hot, okay? To like 182.5 degrees. And no foam, I don't like foam. And, you know, the least you could do is double cup it, you know? A latte that hot could hurt me, I have sensitive hands.

So anyway, when you finally got my order right, my phone rang again and it was really important so I took it. Anyway my bf was RIGHT in the middle of telling me how cute I am when you TOTALLY interrupted to take my money. Like, was I not obviously in the middle of something? You'd think you could take a hint, like, if you tell me my total and I don't answer you'd just wait like any polite person, but no, you like basically yelled it at me, it was so embarrassing. I wasn't about to hang up again, okay? You're not the only one that exists! So fine, I'll give you your stupid money, but, like, it's hard to count change and talk on the phone at the same time, you know?

Tip? No, sorry, my bf doesn't like me spending money on things I don't need.

Frankly, the next person who uses their cellphone in line at Starbucks should be shot. It's indefensibly rude.

If blood and love tastes so sweet
Then we, we give them what they want

ummm yeah I count the counter person as the victim here. They have to deal with rude people like you all day and I don't know how they do it. You were holding up the entire line, being rude, and now crying about it like you are the victim. You can fucking call someone back ok?

no you were being a little bitch.

if there was NO line it would be okay to stand back and talk, but since there was a line . . . i see nothing wrong.

And holding up your finger . . . now thats just plain rude!!

next time finish your call before you get in line if it's that important.

They didn't want to wait for you to finish what sounds like an extremely important conversation? The nerve of some people.

wow. I have to deal with the public, and I fine it incredibly rude when some one answers the phone when I'm having and interaction with them. Just call them back! There was a time before cell phones...and we all did fine!

I agree -- it doesn't matter that you were nearly done. Once you get in line, you need to be ready to order. The length of the line behind is irrelevant. Those are still people who want to get in and get out.

I don't get this sense of entitlement that people have about such thing.

It's damn rude. You want to castigate the barista for his rudeness while turning a blind eye to your rudeness.

You have responsibility here too. And then to be so upset about it that you have to write a few paragraphs!?

    Wow.

cell phones have become a nuisance and I think in certain places they should not be allowed to be used.

Agreed. It's so frustrating when someone comes into your business, but is on the phone.
