My iPod has completely frozen up. I can’t even turn it off. This has happened twice before. Since it would not shut off the only thing I could do was leave it be until the battery power was completely drained. Once recharged, it worked just fine. Has anyone else had this problem with their little electronic devices?

have you tried the override shut down?

    if not, here's how.

flick the hold button to on, then back to off,

then hold the click button and menu down for a lil while. should shut down. if not. then there's some kind of glitch in your ipod.

i've had that once, and oly after leaving it in my car while i went skiing. cold screwed it up for a couple days til it reheated then recharged.

    Try this...

The iPod has to be reset. Hold the center button down while pressing the play/pause button. Hold both until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen. Then turn it back on.

That happpend to me before, and it wasn't a good thing. Make sure you back up all of your music before your ipod crashes. Use SharePod to copy your music from your ipod to your PC w/out having to reorganize your folders.

LOL, this just happened to me last night and I had to google the answer! I couldn't remember what two buttons I had to hit.

    iPod's are notoriously unreliable, sigh.

Mine lost its battery charge, and the repair would cost as much as buying a new one. Damn thingos!
