UGHHH!!!! My trouble spot

In the past year I have made so much progress with my eating habits and regular workouts. I've burnt a ton of fat, leaned down while starting to show some bulking up. I've also flattened out my stomach and seeing some definition finally.

But goddamn I can't seem to make a lot of progress on my lower back. I don't really do any exercises that target that area, I've read that it's all about diet and exercise and time. But how much time does it take? It's not really love handles because it's mostly just in the back and not really on the sides. I really can't lose anymore weight, I've been focusing on bulking up (I'm about 5'11 and weighed in at the doctor this week at 155lbs).

I feel great, but I'm worried that this could demotivate me over time. It's always been a problem for me, and for whatever reason it's the ONE target area that's seeing very little progress.

Do some lower back extensions and progress with weights.

I don't know... does that burn the fat there, or just build the muscle up that's under the fat? The point is to shrink, not bulk. That's why I haven't been doing these kind of specific target exercises. But I'm no expert.

You can't target the burning of fat. The idea of doing the back extensions would be to effectively build muscle there.

You need to burn fat from other area. Targeting a single group doesn't do shit, do some sort of interval HiiT cardio to burn fat, do back extension to build the muscle there.
