A 37-year-old man died aboard an Atlantis cruise ship docked in the Cayman Islands' capital of George Town.

I feel bad for saying this but I hope it was from natural causes and not the stereotypical drug overdose way of checking out

    40.
Gay Cruise aka Circuit Party on the Water.
    Cardiac Arrest.
I dunno, it just seems like the stereo-typical, however I hope not either!

Let's see, he died the day when the white party would be occurring....

Given the fact that drug use is rampant on such cruises, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to assume that drugs played a part.

What's the big fucking deal? People die. On cruises, on airplanes, on busses, walking down the street. It was a gay cruise, who gives a flying fuck? The poor guy, but when it's your time Death doesn't wait for you to return from your vacation, and he doesn't care if your cruise is straight, gay, or Disney.

We have a report that one of his pinky fingers was sticking straight out as he tied his shoes. Back to you in the newsroom.

Let's hope he was out to his parents or the 11 o'clock news might have been even more shocking.

If he died of drug overdose like many other gay men do at circuit parties...then it would not be "stereotypical"....it would be "reality".

There is no mention of drugs in any of the stories about this guy. Yesterday the police said there was nothing suspicious about his death. Why are people jumping to conclusions? Having been on three Atlantis trips, I don't feel like drug use is "rampant". I've smelled some pot smoke, but that's about it. I t would probably be naive of me to assume other drugs aren't being used but I think "rampant" is hyperbole.

Could it possibly have been another Italian man who didn't know he was booking a gay cruise? The shock just did him in.

This is unfortunate to hear and I hope there was no horseplay that caused this. Actually I have been on a similar Atlantis cruise exactly 2 years ago and it was the most enjoyable cruise I have ever been on. The parties on board were way better than the straight cruises and I would like to go on another in the future.

A man dies when he should be having a wonderful time? It will be terribly unfortunate and sad if he died due to drug use. But what's more sad are those of you who are making jokes and cynical remarks about it. I'm sure his family and friends are not joking, and are in great pain.

A little more compassion would be appropriate.

why feel sad when someone dies? If anything I expect that to be the ultimate freedom for them. No chains or gravity keeping them down here. When my aunt died last month, I had to cover my mouth up cuz seeing everyone in tears made me laugh and smile. Why can't we be happy when people die, say cheers, and move on with our own life's?

to die at 40 is not great, missing out on a lot , but we each go our way and there's no telling when we drop.
Better his way than going on and on and then be fed by a total stranger who calls himself your brother, or husband no ?
i hope he got laid at least.

What if somebody were to beat you up and then laugh and smile at your pain? What if, God forbid, the person you love most were to die in pain, like if they were killed by a drunk driver, and then at the service, people looked at you and laughed if you were in pain from the loss?

Guess it's no wonder you don't have the guts to show your name and face. You're probably another Dadaist like G-Force, trying to stir-up shit.

    Go away little mammal.
