And we were proud to vote for him after he first came out in support of gays back in 2007!

Now all we have to do is get other independents and libertarians of importance on-board

He wrote a great piece, too. I loved reading how his thinking on the issue developed.

    Jerry Sanders for President!

Haha, just kidding... I actually know nothing about him beyond what he wrote for the Huff Post.

God bless him, but so what? To move the needle, we need Republican lawmakers in Washington to give a squirt, not a friggin' mayor.

I'll take a Supreme Court ruling on par with Brown v. Board of Education. Until then, the more voices we have, the better.

To the Gay people of San Diego though, this was important

Let's hope so, but I'm not as optimistic. Now, if there were more Republican mayors of major cities on the pro-gay bandwagon, then I'd be more prone to think we're moving forward.

An occasional squirt here or there is meaningless.

This is important to gay people around the country. I'm not trying to play it down, but let's not trumpet this as a fucking revolution, folks. It is what it is, and that's not much, I'm afraid.

My squirts aren't meaningless, and they are more than occasional.

    Just sayin'...

All I can say to that is think back 30 years. Full equality may not be a reality in the lifetime of anyone here but that's no reason to give up on the good fight and welcome with open arms every soldier who volunteers. This is a cultural war and when someone from the 'other team' sees the light, it gets just a little darker for the other side. His stance is a slap in the face of the Maggot Gaggers of the world, the Brian Browns, the Falwells, the Robertsons, the Bachmans, the Palins, the Bushes, the Reagans, the Popes and Bishops, the Preachers, the Nuns, etc. who squirm in discomfort at the notion of happy homosexuals.

In California we want as many trumpets as we can .. we want prop 8 to go down for good.

What I have seen from the current trial, what is being revealed is that there is no rational reason to ban gay marriage, and that it comes down to religion, prejudice and other irrational fears. There have been several "conservatives" or republicans coming out in support of gay marriage .. they are the cracks in the dam .. it has to start somewhere. Every movement starts with a small group somewhere.

If it goes to the Supremes, we will lose. Clarence Thomas made that clear in his recent opinion on the Corporate Sponsorship of Government decision that just came down. The Supremes are a right leaning bunch right now and unless one of those convervative fucks dies pretty soon, we're fucked (if this gets to the SCOTUS).

Y'know that Maggot is a true blue american puta, no? From what I've read, she got preggers and found some immigrant sucker who needed a green card and now her real name is Margaret Gallagher Srivastav. She married a Hindu man who never appears with her anywhere, who is not the father of her little bastards. This is the amoral cunt who wants to pronounce our morals unfit for consumption. She's a walking blister.

I daresay that Maggot may very well have been a de facto role model for america's other amoral cunt Bristol Palin and we all know her story.

As god's gift to homosexuality, I'll volunteer to be the gay bomb.
