I live in a country where I can't share who I am to the world but I always found a gate for me to the out side world
    to be who I am
to live how I always wanted to live
    that gate is called Youtube
but last night Youtube has been blocked in my country
    I can't access my channel
    I can't post y music anymore
and most of all I can't watch Celine dion's videos with one click anymore
    I can't watch NUKE , S & C , Kyish , A & A
isn't enough that who I am is illegal in my country

    how is that fair
how do they think that they have the right to do such a thing

I just don't know what to do anymore
    I just don't know

maybe go to sleep and never wake up that's what they want me to do
after all they took everything made me feel alive
my pride ,,, my music ,,, my sexuality
today youtube ,,,, tomorrow the entire internet

Hey, I know that sucks. icon_sad.gif

This may be a bit more of a hassle than normal but I suggest learning how to use Proxy networks.

I suggest The Onion Router (TOR): http://www.torproject.org/

    http://en.linuxreviews.org/Tor

You will be able to bypass the censorship as long as someone through your connection is operating an exit node.

You may want to check in on how Eden deals with certain issues. He's a sweet guy and may have some tips for you.

I'm afraid any country that's blocking YouTube is also blocking proxy servers.

I just hope they don't find out abut RJ and block it. Sorry to hear of it.

    Move.

Though, I know that is easier said than done... especially coming from someone who has had the privilege of growing up and living in a relatively free country their entire life.icon_neutral.gif

I have a pen-pal on here who is in a similar situation - I just wanted you to know that there are many more like you... and you should keep your vision of what you want and where you would like to be strong in your mind. If you can do that, you can figure out how to move/change your situation.

I wish you well... and please keep in mind - what you're dealing with is painful, but there are far worse realities. This is just annoying in the grand scheme of things. Think of what has happened in Haiti and then reflect on what you have.

When I was your age there was NO INTERNET. Everyone was much more isolated. There are still many places in the world where there is no media and no options - no running water.

    Stay well.

I cannot imagine how much this sucks for you. Just continue to be strong! You have friends here who care!

I hope you find new avenues to express yourself!

well, i live in Dubai part of the time, and i use Hotspot Shield to get around their blocking of sites. I can look at every and any site that I want when I'm connected. There's is of course, the annoyance of pop-up windows, but at least I can check out porn and other sites.

Glad that turned out OK for you. Terribly sorry any country would try to block any site. I like my daily dose of YouTuble also, though they have really been cracking down on "sexually provocative" material, There are alternate video sites, too like daily motion, and you probably know more of them than I do.
