Its Sunday, I'm in my office doing a few things... and my office is in a country club setting. There is a well known restaurant just feet (about 25 feet actually) and they have an AWESOME buffet featuring breakfast fare and some great lunch items. One of the chefs makes eggs benedict along with a variety of other great morning items.... and then there is the round table filled with desserts, from red velvet cake squares, chocolate cake, cheesecake, etc, .. etc... ETC! And I have to walk by there when I leave.
    Damn!

    Gym in 3 hours! LOL

I'm sure it would be very tempting....but not really my thing anymore. Me at a buffet is a total waste of money..I can only eat about a TOTAL of a cup of food at any one time...so I'd get the eggs, maybe some oatmeal or toast and some well done bacon and be STUFFED.... Going to the gym in about 2 hours and will watch some football as I run on the treadmill....another great day! LOL!

Good point. Most buffets are filled with people who overload plates and have already overloaded their waistlines. I don't notice much of that here, but I also tend to eat a reasonable portion at a buffet.. and don't go to them very often.

When I was in college, there was a restaurant called "Shoney's" which always featured a breakfast buffet. It was filled with fat people eating greasy food. My cousin was always dragging me in there. For years afterward,
buffets like that made me sick to my stomach... and even today I can't stand to eat bacon at a buffet.
