I like putting dishes into the dishwasher, pouring in detergent, shutting the door and turning the knob. They come out CLEAN with minimal effort!

Also like taking clothes out of the laundry. I feel at peace in a small laundry room with warm fluffy towels and a lingering aroma of Bounce in the air.

    How about you?

Folding freshly laundered clothes and ironing. The latter preferably while watching a movie on TV, that I've seen lots of times before. I also love organizing things.

Actually, the very same thing! I mean, I have said virtually the identical thing myself, word for word. Which means you & I are soul mates, but never life mates. We'd be fighting over who loads the dishwasher or the dryer.

My partners have been just the opposite. Couldn't operate a washing machine properly or a dishwasher if their lives depended on it. But then, they did the things I couldn't do, like cook an edible meal. So I'd stay clear of the kitchen when they'd be in it, as I should.

Yet we'd enjoy doing the same things together, watching the same movies & TV, eating the same foods, vacationing in the same places, etc, etc. Hence it is that too opposing adages can be true at the same time: birds of a feather flock together, and opposites attract.

Love kicking dust bunnies out of sight so I can deal with them later.

Love putting dirty dishes in the dishwasher so they are out of sight, taking them out is a different story.

Love picking clean laundry out of the dryer as needed, out of sight and mind .

The general theme here: Out of Sight

I've always loved vacuuming - something about holding the handle, and the back and forth motion that accompanies it, appeals to me.icon_redface.gif It's just very...soothing.

Okay, are you ready for this. The only chore I like is cleaning the lint filter in the dryer door. It's a big round filter, and I like to run my fingers around or across it and gather up the lint, roll it into a wad and toss it away. It's a different color for each wash! icon_eek.gif

    I did it today, actually.
I love scrubbing my tiled floors. I put down some oxyclean granules, hot water, and put my scrub brush to work.
I think about what troubles I have and SCRUB them out of my lifeā€¦one square foot at a time.

    - doing my own laundry.
    - folding my clothes.
    - washing my dishes.
    - organizing and arranging ... (e.g., when time permits: placing my clothes in ROYGBIV).
    - noting events to a calendar
    - seeing a freshly vacuumed floor, especially when potpourri has been added to the carpet prior to running the machination.
    - organizing books from largest to smallest or in alpha-order (same with DVDs and VHS).

    oy ... this is bad.

I appear to be a house fag:

    Waxing the floor.

I don't particularly love the act itself. But I love the feel and smell of floorwax. It's my 'home smell' and always calms me.

ugh, I am so awful when it comes to shet like this

i really don't do much of anything. I do my own laundry, but i dont enjoy it. I rarely ever clean my room, i usually just have large piles of clothes, my bookshelves are overflowing and i have stacks of books all over my room...

    I fail...

i like to vacuum too... but not often... and not even efficiently. i don't like using the big rotating brush thingy... or even a larger attachment. i prefer to use the smallest attachment on a super dirty floor so i can see it suck up everything... or sometimes i'll sweep and suck the stuff up with the hose.

if anyone likes to fold clothes or pick them up off of the floor he, or even she, can move in with me.

Well I actually like washing and drying my own dishes without the aid of a dishwasher (you can't really say washing dishes is a chore if you use a dishwasher now can you...just saying).

I enjoy my weekly cleaning spree where I move all my furniture, sweep and dust behind them, wash my clothes and my bedspread, clean my woods floors and wash my walls. It's actually pretty fun especially when i get to do it ona day when i know no one will bother me.

The I'll finish it off with a good meal and a book or maybe a movie and reel int he thought and feeling of sleeping good in a clean apartment.

I don't mind ironing - - - as long as I have music playing. I even iron the sheets and pillow cases. All my clothes hang in order, all ironed, facing the same direction - one inch apart..........in order of date worn.......and on good, matching hangers. No wire hangers in my closets! Suits and jackets hang in zippered bags; trousers all hang suspended from the cuffs on wooden hangers. Belts and ties all hang in order of color. Shoe trees in all pairs of shoes........and they're polished for each wearing.

I also love scrubbing bathrooms and kitchens.......making them shine. I am a nut about having perfectly gleaming stainless steel appliances.

I like vacuuming and making my whole place 'near perfect' all the time. Even my garage floor, patios, porches get the 'Mr. Clean' treatment.

It is no big deal - and I don't spend a lot of time on this. I know this sounds rather anal.......but it was the way I was raised..........and I like living this way.

The quarter-annual act of spring cleaning via trashing/recycling/donating old things. It's good to get rid of the bygone and reflect on the has-been.

Plus, it frees up a lot more space for the crap to replace it all.

Ok I have NO problem at all washing clothes. I don't mind putting them in the washer and even having to take them out and put them in the dryer but once I'm to that point I'm pretty much done. I mean I like them warm and everything but someone else come fold them. But no one will since I don't wash anyone else's clothes but mine and I don't want anyone else to touch my clothes. But yeah I'm with LilTanker. someone else can finish the job.

I also have no problem running the vacuum. I mean I can run that thing for an hour just to make sure the rug is clean. But SOMEONE FOLD THOSE GODD@MN CLOTHES FOR ME.!!!!!!
But vacuuming isn't as much fun after I got my wrist fractured. And I hate dishes.
