In case members didn't see the link to the blog reporting out daily from the US District Court trial in San Francisco :

    http://prop8trialtracker.com/

Earlier reporting from the trial covered some of the Mormon church's involvement/funding/tactics and trying to hide its role.

Plaintiffs (against Prop 8 are wrapping up their side today or so. Defense (for Prop 8 commences soon. Then there's a several-week pause while the federal judge reviews the evidence, testimony, documents, and videos before resuming the end phases of the trail.

Fascinating and heartening are the comments and community sense arising on the tracking site. There are also links to the repugnant proponents for Prop 8 sites (which pretty much don't allow any comments on their skewed versions of the trial developments and testimonies.

Not surprising , but still hurtful, are the angry and hateful comments still spewing from the traditional/conservative/evangelical folks out there about the GLBT people, the arguments, the lack of understanding or empathy for what has gone on for decades in this country, nor any intellectual understanding of constitutionality issues or protections. Frightening to me in this day and age....but there it is.

If I'm lucky, they'll have a second screening. Would love to see this.

Especially after reading the director's quote:

"There was no other place on the planet where this could premiere," he said. "This is where the lies came from, this is where the money came from. The sharpest karma that could be leveled on the Mormon church ... it has to be leveled in their own backyard."

    Hell yes.

They will need an addendum to show some of the stuff uncovered in the prop 8 trial. Evil needs to be exposed. I don't see any reason why the Catholic church should be left out of this though .. she is way sneakier and dangerous than the Mormons icon_confused.gif
