The best art comes out of a place of strong emotion, usually anger or despair. The Dixie Chicks were PISSED and the recorded a great album.

I love the Dixie Chicks. I must admit though, I haven't purchased their latest album. icon_redface.gif I was gonna get it, but you know, things happened, ran outta money, etc. I really need to get it because I love that song "Not ready to make nice."

gettoknowitshe's got emotional baggage. I prefer someone who has a bit of comfort in theirselves so as to be a reliable person in a relationship.

Actually, its not emotional baggage... its standing up for yourself and what you believe is right. Though I'm not a country music fan per se, I've always kinda liked the Dixie Chicks... now, I've become a fan... because they're not making nice or backing down.

I'm so glad they did this song... its exactly the reaction I was hoping they'd have to all the crap that went on... and I'm even more glad that it was so well recieved.

Thanks for posting the vid! icon_biggrin.gif

I got their album when it came out (last year I think...) and it is pretty good.

There is also a documentary about all the crap they went though called "Shut up and Sing". I haven't actually seen it yet but I hear its very good.

Shut Up & Sing is a great documentary...definately worth watching. Of course, this is a totally biased opinion from a HUGE Chicks fan.

Thanks for the info on the Documentary. Just put it at the top of my Netflix list. Love the Chicks and that long, lingering shot at the end of the vid was fantastic--said it all!!

oh man I love the Dixie Chicks and this song is just ace production I love how you feel her anger and pain through her vocals...perfection!

This is a very high style art production for a country group too, love it.

    THANK YOU for posting this!

It's good to know there are other Gay, men into fitness that also love Country music.

The Dixie Chicks spoke out against George Bush and were hated by many for that BUT a whole new group of fans emerged from the publicity.
    Way to go Dixies!
