Definitely worth the read, and not really a liberal/conservative debate at all, just incredible reasoning that I suspect everyone at RJ would agree with (for the most part).

Read the article link. It's very well stated and what should have been obvious in previous court cases all over the united states icon_sad.gif.

He´s taken the typical arguments used by the religious right and by desacralizing them has shown how their anti gay use is implicitly dependant on a religious view which cannot constitutionally be forced onto others.

I was talking about the video and then read the article... he's very right and I'm glad there are more conservatives who are coming round to the idea that equality was something America was based on...

It's strange though. The people I expect to be like him aren't, and the people I expect to not be like him are beginning to be that way.
And the court cases that I expected to be so logical and obviously reasonable like that didn't happen and now this super big one I was thinking was probably just going to be more of the same and it's not!

Anto said I feel like Donna Noble when her head started to suffer the effects of the instantaneous biological metacrisis she had after touching the Doctor's severed hand!

That's a common reaction to reading Supreme Court cases.

Frankly I've never understood why more conservatives didn't support gay marriage. What could be more conservative than stable relationships where the parties support each other, own real property together, accrue assets for retirement together, raise children (if any) together, and don't mess around?

I support this case, but if this reaches the current Supreme Court, though, I'm afraid our goose will be cooked...
