I think he's bisexual, but his therapist says he is heterosexual with homosexual attachments. lol

But what he, his wife, and his therapist fail to realize is that he woudn't be having any homosexual attachments, if he is all str8.

Many bisexuals will not admit that they are bisexual, but their actions speak louder than their words. When you are continually having sex with both men and women, this is clear evidence you are bisexual. Guys who do not admit this are hating the fact that they are bisexual.

I have to admit being bisexual can make life difficult because you can only commit yourself to one sex at a time. But some bisexuals do want the right to marry both a woman and a man. But I am not one of them. I can only handle one at a time and sometimes that is too much. icon_lol.gif

If Ted thinks that he will never have sex with a man again, he is being naive and I hope he is not devastated in his faith when it happens again. It's going to happen again sometime. But, no, you do not go to hell because of your sexual orientation. icon_lol.gif

The Bible does not say that anywhere.

I just watched him on Oprah.

Wow his wife really loves him unconditionally... icon_eek.gif

It was hard for me not to laugh when he says that he doesn't have any homosexual behaviours or thoughts. icon_razz.gif

I don't understand why people like him are taken seriously. Why is Oprah giving him an interview? What's the point?

Ted Haggard's story is a cautionary tale. I really feel for him. He is trying to straddle two opposing camps. His body may be telling him one thing, but his church is fucking with his head. How long before we hear him telling us his conversion therapy horror story.
But I think people have enough common sense to see what is at the heart of his story.
I really feel for his wife. She must have had her own brain washed thoroughly in counseling. Deep down, she must know that she can't fully satisfy her husband.

When you are that full of hot air, it really does take a while to deflate, I suppose.

I caught this interview while on the treadmill at the gym yesterday. Watching the close-up shots of Haggard's wife - while Haggard himself was speaking - was quite telling. Mrs. Haggard appeared unhappy, distrustful, pensive. When Haggard blathered on to Ms. Oprah about how he calls his wife all the time now - (checking in) when leaving one place or meeting to go home - asking what he can get from the store, etc. it was pathetic. From the look on Oprah's face, she wasn't buying Haggard's act. The whole appearance gave me the impression the Haggards were primarily interested in selling their new book.

Contrarily, when I am full of a hot dick, it doesn't take me a while to get off.

I just saw some clips. I agree, its all about selling his book. His wife was on the "Today" Show (1/27/10) and talking about why she stayed with him.
The whole thing sounded contrived in my view.

Not true. There are some people who are bisexual that will commit to only one sex at a time (so-called "lateral bisexuals"), whereas some people will just follow their attraction regardless if it's a guy or a girl (so-called "linear bisexuals"). "Linear" bisexuals are not necessarily committed to one gender or another... they are committed to their attraction.

Now, this has absolutely nothing to do with Ted Haggard, in all probability. If we're talking about Mr. Haggard appearing on the show, I can give you a seak preview: He and his family are going to tell Oprah that he's cured... and nobody on the show, including Ms. O herself, will buy it. And the credits will roll.

And there are bisexuals (well, at least one) who only have sex with the same sex in their minds. These are called "circle jerkular bisexuals".
