I'm a total nerd so I really like the Discovery News Feedbag podcast. Go for the science, stay for the witty banter.

Huge fan of Savage Love too.

I also like NPR's Planet Money. Listened religiously ever since the meltdown in sept 2008.

    Onion News Network is hilarious,

Cnet Buzz Report for the tech geek in me....

There is some sweet stuff on here so far. Personally, I love listening to NPR's 'Wait Wait Don't Tell Me' and WNYC's 'RadioLab.'

The prior is great commentary and comedy on weekly events. Online at: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=35

The latter has amazing audio editing--it drips through your ears like honey on the tongue--and story telling on a wide range of topics, from War of the Worlds to sperm. Check it out here: http://www.wnyc.org/shows/radiolab/

Podcasts would be much more useful if they refreshed themselves automatically, even if you didn't listen to them. If I'm too busy to listen to a few daily news podcasts, it's not like I want to listen to one that's three weeks old eventually.

The Ricky Gervais Show is available on iTunes and Guardian Unlimited. Also the Ricky Gervais Guide To.... shows are on Audiobooks. Usually they're at number one.... hilarious. And Karl Pilkington really does have a head like a fucking orange.

Hamish and Andy on iTunes give me a good laugh every day. I listen to them at the gym quite often.

Warning though - I laughed doing a squat and two guys came over to help me because they thought I might be dying.
