Any reason to do leg extensions and curls if you are already doing squats and deadlifts?

    I prefer to work my legs by doing squats, stiff leg deadlifts, lunges, and other free wight exercies. While I've not read anything negative about leg curls, I have read that leg extensions are an unnatural movement that can, over time, result in injury. Am I missing out if I leave out extensions and culrs in favor of free weight exercises?

    due to back injuries i cant do squats

    i find extensions and presses just as effective as squats..although squats would always be mny first choice on legs if i could do them

    my quads have good definition......i do 2 types of presses....dep and regular to hit all angles....

    I definitely feel I get more out of the free weight barbell based leg exercises. Even though I mentioned both extensions and curls, I am particularly interested if you can adequately work the hamstrings without curls.
