Little background. Im 23, 6'4 white male. Recently finished college. Going into college I was fairly slim, most of my build was soft vs muscular at about 195 lbs. Coming out of college I was still 6'4, but had ballooned up to 240. Mostly due to diet, I have been able to get back down to 210 so far over a period of about 4- 5 months. Over the last month I have added exercise more heavily in my routine varying from anywhere from 3-5 visits to the gym per week. I have mostly been doing cardio, sticking in the fat burning zone for my HR for me at about 130 BPM. Strength training I haven't really been keeping up on maybe once per week.
I am slimmer but as far as my body goes I still feel like I am loosing more muscle than I'm comfortable with the further down I go.
My ultimate goal is to be slimmer with a low body fat percentage, kinda of like a toned look. Just so we're on the same page something like this:

That guy in the pic is pretty darn skinny. As far as muscle loss, if your diet has plenty of protein in it and you do hit the weights a few times a week what your seeing as muscle loss is fat loss.

Battling nature may be futile. By that I mean your body type may be such that shooting for "skinny_indie" is unrealistic and unhealthy. There was a thread on here a ways back about body types (ironically called "Body types...") - you should try to look at it. Basically there are three types: endomorph, mesomorph and ectomorph. Here is the link to a test you can take to determine yours.

Once you have figured out what you body type is - google it and learn as much as you can. You will then be able to set goals that are both attainable and realistic. I, for example, am an ectomorph - tend to be leaner (some say skinny). Now that my metabolism has slowed a bit (with age) I have been able to put on some weight - but I will always be lean. If I wanted to I could become "skinny_indie" because it is in the spectrum of my body type.

    Hope this helps

Mr. "Skinny Indi" looks like he is grossly malnourished and on heroine. If you want to look like that, catch anorexia and stop working out.

For that you should be only a extremely low carb, no fat, only lean protein diet with loads of cardio. Also try Palates, it helps reducing body fat content.
