How many hours do you sleep?

I went to bed last night pretty early and fell asleep at about 8:45. I woke up at 1:30 and felt awake... like I could get up and do stuff but of course I can't do anything positive at 1:30 so I waited two hours before falling back asleep.

I find I need only about 7 hours of sleep and then anything more I feel overslept and groggy, having lost that focus and motivation.

    Anyone else experience this?

I am a real insomniac, even if I am comfortable it takes me at least half an hour to fall asleep, and even if I get up early I can never fall asleep before 1am, as a result I am often very lethargic in the mornings.

However it seems after noon I was always on full alert and stay that way until midnight, damn these messed up teen hormones.!icon_cry.gif

always a good solid 8 hours. I've definitely changed from an evening person when I was younger to a morning person now. In bed and asleep by 9:00pm (thank god for DVR's) and up by 6:00am.

6-to-7 hours. I rarely get 8 hours sleep. But if my body tells me I need it, then I do

I'm a very light sleeper. icon_sad.gif Up by 6am at the latest, every day, even if I'm off (which just pisses me off). I usually try to compensate by going to bed at a better time, but my brain usually has other intentions. It makes me happy if I manage to pull 6 hours of solid sleep...which is rare.

I don't do naps very well either. That's another sore spot. If I manage to get to sleep at non-bedtime hours; it's not a nap, because I'll sleep for a couple of hours. When I wake, I don't get that nice refresh that usually comes with a nap.

Eh on a good day 5 hours. I never sleep straight through the night unless I'm sick or exhuasted. I'm a mess if I sleep over 6 or 7 I just drag all day.

The least amount of sleep I need to function is 5 hours. But I average 7. If I get the chance to sleep in, I take it.

I average 5 1/2 hours every night. Twice a week I'll take a nap for an hour.

Us humans do it for part of each rotation.

I'm lucky to get in at least 6 hours - didn't use to be that way until the last few months.icon_neutral.gif

I'm a wreck if I don't get at least six hours. I'd like to get at least seven hours but most nights it is six to six and a half. Strangely, I've never felt groggy from sleeping too many hours.

About 6-7 hrs. If I ever do sleep in, let's say for more than 9 hrs, I would feel really lazy for the rest of the day so that's why I never do it.

I feel best on around 8-9 hours of sleep. If I get more than 9, I feel a bit drowsy. 7 is ok. 4-6 and I feel exhausted all day long. And less than 4, I'm surprisingly hyper the next morning, but by the evening, I collapse.

Lately, I've just been getting around 5 or 6 hours per night. I don't seem to be tired all day or anything either. I'll squeeze in a nap when I can though.
