Most of us have a type of guy we tend to be attracted to. Have you ever found yourself unexpectedly drawn towards the opposite?

I don't think any of us are a stranger to this happening.

I've gone out with guys that have extremely narrow preference ranges. Typically, though, I find that most do have a type. I personally don't have that much of a 'type'. I do like muscles but as for other attributes like height, race, eye color, hair color (or even no hair), etc. have not been aspects that matter to me.

If I had to 'type' someone as what I would be attracted specifically to then it would have to do with personallity.

Something I have noticed though in the past as far as my friends are concerned is thier observances of others. If I pointed out some guy that I thought was hot and there was some attribute about them that they specifcally didn't like (i.e. brunette) then they would say that I like brunettes because that's what they would remember even if I had prevoiusly also pointed out someone who was blond or bald or redheaded. Later they'd be pointing out brunettes to me as if I'd only go for a brunette.

Now a six-pack, that will get me every time.

I think by only being attracted to a certain type of person limits the possibilities of you meeting a great person.

People change their appearances all the time. Shaved, hairy, hair length/color, glasses/contacts, clothes, etc.

Perhaps the reason you find this new type of guy attractive is because you're seeing somethng other than his appearnace. Maybe something about his personality. I think it would be worth it for you to jump out of your comfort zone and explore. Good luck.

I hate when my friends ask what my type is. I don't have a type physically. There has to be something there, some connection that makes me stutter or heart skip a beat. That jolt of electricity from a touch or butterflys from a look. I find myself attracted to a very wide variety of guys, and my friends are not going to be able to help me except by introducing me to who ever they have in mind.

but thats just initially. I've been attracted to guys who were much older than me. This might be strange but during my internship, watching my boss litigate and making rapists and murderers look like fools on the stand made me do a 180. It really varies from guy to guy.

Date a porn actor for 18 months, as I did. You'll start happily cruising sideshows featuring human oddities.

most guys i point out to friends which i think are hot just make them dry retch or laugh :(

i like guys that have something more to offer than what i see i guess, like james gandolfini he's attractive but some might not agree

i did once used to have a thing for leg amputees and blind people, don't know why, maybe it was a pirate phase

i think the lack of guys looking at me is more of a problem than being choosy and having a type

I've always been into tall, fit guys who were bigger than me. But oddly the only two men I have ever loved, although in great shape, were short. In fact what made me fall for them was that I had no interest in their bodies. Their minds suited me you know, and after that it kind of made me blind to the fact that I didn't have to look at or anything.

My friends think they know my type... heck, I think I know my type (usually athletic, somewhat hairy, at least somewhat attractive) but I always end up with someone my friends would not consider my type. I think this is usually because I won't actively seek out my type. I'm sure there are a few of us with this "issue". As I get older, I don't usually worry about my type. I will be "friendly" with all types. haha I think I just confused myself though I know what I intended to say.
