    hey all,

I am new to the area! I just moved into an apartment up in New Brunswick to finish up my bachelor degree at Rutgers. Any RJ'ers from the surrounding area? Rutger's students?

would love to meet some new people from around here! icon_biggrin.gif

I live in Central NJ and NYC.

While NJ isn't my favorite place to live..at least you have options around you...just have to have a car. You're close enough to NYC, Philadelphia PA,and Jersey Shore.

You may have to drive to different areas going more south on rt 18 to Asbury Park NJ ,they have a few gay/gay friendly bars.
But that area is better to visit during the spring/summer. Watermark or Paradise and Georgie's.

In New Brunswick they have a bar called the Den Not as popular as it used to be years ago from what I hear, but they have events/gatherings and it's close to Rutgers.

But most of the time I prefer to visit NYC or Northern NJ, it's more active yearly and a little more populated. (Philly can be fun too)

I went to Rutgers and loved it. For those nights when you are desperate and just need a gay club you have to hit the Den. It's pretty tragic, but all a part of the NB experience. There's a very large gay community at Rutgers, so you shouldn't be hurting on social activities. Let me know if you want to join a Fraternity and I can point you toward the one I joined.
