Until being gay in the US is legal with full civil rights, I suppose "open heterosexual aggression against homosexuals" is permissible. Do you ever get the sense this is a 1-sided battle? I know fanatical Republican RJ members like southbeach1500 support this sort of thing, and that meddling idiot from Australia who shall remain nameless, but what do the rest of you think?

I think the more goofy the anti-gay groups sound the faster the poll numbers will shift towards greater civil rights. Under the Bush administration poll numbers shifted in favor of equal marriage at a faster rate than they had previously. As a result I heartily encourage anti-gay rights groups to convince people that we deserve rights.

Edit: That is what happened with the racist moves in the 60s and 70s as it became more and more obvious that segregation was wrong, people who were against integration started saying sillier and sillier things, and began proving that those who were arguing for equality to be right.

my come back for anyone that supports this has and will always be 1. CIB check 2. TAB check 3. DD214 check. After that I got to P.T. score/weapon quals if they are service members If they are a civ' then its the whole pay for someone's wife and five kids or pay for my dog and I. Its cheaper to have gays than straits in the military. It mite cut done on the need for chaplains from a great number of “faiths” also. Even more savings.

As a pure homosexual and not a bisexual like yourself. I have every right to behold any political view I wish to have on gay issues, be it mine, or just taking the right to have it. What I resent is a bisexual like yourself trying too repress one on gay issues. Pay my mortgage, then the discussion on you living my life for me may open up.

What did you do for the advancement of the gay movment while you where a pseudo heterosexual. Did you bring your children up as a gay man, or a straight man?

Please stop trying to repress me from having a view on gay issues, after the damage you have done; please go and look in the mirror before you look at me with contempt.

You take people as being dumb, just for not saying Pattison, yet they know who you mean so whats the diffrence sunshine? Also homosexual issues are universal, not just American, nor is homosexuality American made. I reserve the right to behold any view on homosexuality, be it mine, or exercising the right to freedom of speech. These are forums for debate, discussion of diffrent views. They are not subjected to your approval,or dictatorship.

    have a nice day .

I SERVED IN A TIME BEFORE DADT. That said, it was a trying time, because I could been dishonorably discharged which is B.S.

Granted DADT has helped, even if some people don't agree, BUT we should have the right to serve and be ourselves. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

I AM AN AMERICAN AND I WAS SOLDIER. EITHER WAY, I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FEEL AS AN ALIEN THAT'S BEEN GIVEN SPECIAL RIGHTS TO LIVE HERE OR SERVE.

I PRAY FOR THE DAY WE ARE FINALLY CONSIDERED CITIZENS OF THE U.S. WITH EQUAL RIGHTS PERIOD. NOT SPECIAL RIGHTS.

A thousand mile march begins with the first step.

It will be good if Obama puts an end to something Bill Clinton wrongly began. But this process needs too begin somewhere, and it will be a long march til they get to the end of it all too.

I believe that's basically what Martin Luther King said himself. In so many words.

What the hell does "sexual aggression" have to do with it? Do they think gays are nympho-rape-beasts?

    Stupid-ass people.
