She was fucking awful. I was praying for Kanye to run up and snap her neck to make the hurting stop. I mean, I don't like Kanye, but I think he might have been onto something.icon_lol.gif

Is it just me or does Taylor Swift's voice not technically correct when she sings live? I note many pitch problems and a shaky voice especially in the Grammy's. Yeah the songs are good and catchy, but the voice needs alot of help in my opinion.

Here is a insert from a rolling stones website...

Taylor Swift was so bad last night… how could that be? Is she one of those artists who can only sing in a studio where she does multiple takes to get one that is in tune?

And according to www.wdez.com a country radio station, Taylor is taking some monthgs off from exposure to avoid any negative remarks due to her major pitch problems during performances. Have a gander at this read below...

"Taylor Swift will be keeping a lower profile in the next few months following her four Grammy wins over the weekend. Her record label president, Scott Borchetta, tells USA Today that Taylor most likely won't make another major appearance on U.S. television until April, at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Taylor's been trying to avoid overexposure lately, and she's used the time away from the spotlight to work on her third album. It turns out, she's already got enough songs for a full album release in the can, but any killer songs written between now and July will make the final track listing. Expect the first single from that album to hit the airwaves in late summer or early fall. The full album is expected to come out in time for Christmas.

While most everything has gone Taylor's way in the past few years, her "pitchy" TV performances have caused some critics to cry foul. Taylor's collaboration with Stevie Nicks at the Grammys on "Rhiannon" and "You Belong With Me" is a prime example, and Scott Borchetta says Taylor is working to fix the problem. He tells USA Today, quote, "She's a very intelligent girl. She's going to keep addressing it and keep getting better." While Taylor is keeping a lower profile in the U.S., she's ramping up the publicity machine in Australia and Japan in a big way. Taylor's Fearless tour launches Down Under on Thursday. "

This the worst part of all, Taylor Swift won 4 Grammys Sunday night, which equals the number of Grammys the Beatles won during their entire recording career.

I was just kind of disappointed because I like Taylor Swift but didn't think she deserved it. I thought that it should have gone to either Beyonce or Lady Gaga, both ladies had a killer performance.

I was rooting for Taylor a little bit at first cuz she seems so likeable (granted I know nothing about her music except for that catchy song on the radio). I had heard how bad she is live though leading up to the Grammy's.

But then she takes the stage with my favorite singer/songwriter Stevie Nicks and absolutely bombs it and makes a fool of herself and Stevie Nicks. Being a hardcore Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks fan, that performance was extra hard to watch. It was sad to see a legend like Stevie Nicks play backup to an off key Taylor Swift and her bubble gum pop song. I mean c'mon... Stevie Nicks sings about deep relationships and drug addiction. What an odd pairing.

I just hope Taylor's manager and publicist are keeping all the critics and blog postings like this one far away from the poor girl so she doens't want to kill herself.

Ok so what she was shaky and had pitch problems big freakin whoop she's a young singer. Do you think it's very easy to perform in front of such a crowd and tv audience?? No so give the girl a freakin break, yea she's a performing artist and yes she put herself into the position and chose to be a singer but she's still NEW. Beyonce is a seasoned artist who didn't sound as good live in her early years and she had the bonus of a group. Gaga has also stage presence and doesn't have any trouble it seems but t swift is young and still learning so back the f&$; off and stop being so snapy and acting like your all high and mighty.

I'd like to see some of you perform anything on the level of the Grammys even jus freakin give a speech. Most would back out wouldn't you cuz of stage fright or nerves.

At least she tried even though nerves got the best of her. At least she also really sang live unlike some so called artists out there. So lay off the poor girl. Next time she might be better and even if you don't like her music at least you should respect her as an artist. She's at least real unlike some of you guys precius britney spears.

Taylor Swift got really popular because Kanye West made fun of her and America felt bad. She's not terrible but she's not great. She's just really cute. Kanye embarrassing her is like a retarded bear trying to maul a cute fluffy innocent puppy. Even if the puppy is generally stupid or not talented, it shouldn't have to go through that kind of pain and anyone witnessing this will try to rescue the puppy and then pet it. America has been petting Taylor Swift for quite some time now.

Umm, give me a recording track, studio time, voice coaches and millions of dollars when I was 17 and I bet I'd belt out a tune...it may be off beat but I'd be singing loud and proud too.

But...to your statement...1) she did ask for the fame, 2) objectively, it was a bad performance and 3) young or not...if she can't handle these situations there are other performers waiting to take her place.

Yea you could belt out a tune but it still wouldn't be as good as her. Look at Heidi whatver her last name is her album tanked and she spent millions so no all that stuff doesn't give you anything.

So she couldn't handle the Grammys she's freakin young it was one performance and she had to perform with big time stars that's pressure added on even more. Yea there are others that want her place but it's hers so back off. She will learn and grow as she ages so she took on more than she personaly could handle and now she knows were to become stronger and doesn't need people who won't put themselves in her spot, like you, how she should never do it again ad fade into the backround. I remember seeing some of other artists first performances at young ages ad they weren't so great themselves but as they grew as artists so did their performances so back off the girl jeez I'm not saying she was amazing I'm jus saying back off when you couldn't handle that crap at her age either.

Back off? I guess simply offering my opinion (that seems to be echoed by others) that a Grammy artist's performance was poor is blasphemous.

At any rate, I'm out. You care about this WAY more about this than I do. LOL.

Wait a minute. Taylor Swift...is it really you that I am replying too? or wait..is it that guy who cried on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHmvkRoEowc) when people were being mean to Britney? Or am I being punked? This just can't be real.
