So the title pretty much says it all.

I have a few friends that know I'm gay, but the others don't know because I haven't talked to them in a while and I don't put much personal information on my page. So I'm thinking about redo my profile including my sexual orientation. That way, I'll hopefully feel comfortable knowing that I have my friends know about me as well as that I'm being true to myself. I won't make it big of a deal though.

Has anyone done it? How did it go?

I changed mine a while ago.. most my friends didn't even notice. I had already told the ones that did comment. I figure ppl just didn't care but after running into a few this year and talking about it, I found out most didn't see it because they had no idea.

I did it a while ago and like the previous posted said, no one even noticed lol. Even though it was not my intention to get attention by doing it, I just wanted to update my info. I had run into friends who when heard it mentioned I was gay from someone else they said they went and checked but still didnt believe it so they just dismissed it haha. Honestly when I changed my religion from southern baptist christian to atheist, I had lots of comments and people noticed.

I did it when I was a junior in college. Felt good and scary considering...

But no one reacted badly. No one really reacted at all

I did the same thing without really contemplating it or rationalizing it. I just described myself. So far, so good.

It was interesting at the recent High School Reunion though. The classmates that found me on Facebook and friended me already know about my sexual orientation. The other half of the student body was completely in the dark. One of my good friends from high school and college, in front of a group of classmates that still did not know my orientation, asked me if I was "into black men". Lol, he wanted to fix me up with a gay friend of his. I said "sure", lol.

Why not just tell them personally as oppose to this PA on Face Book? chances are they prolly already know and more importantly why do you care you don't even talk to these people much anymore?

Everyone knows about me. I just tell them and nothing they can do to me and reallly don't care what they think.

Golly, how old are you? Wouldn't it be easier, or at least more respected, to just grow a couple and get honest?

To be honest, just by looking at your pics I imagine your friends and family at least suspect if they don't already know.

There's just a certain something about a goofy grin and a turtle neck that sends out some major gaydar. Fact of the matter is, he's better off to tell a single, close friend and go from there, rather than blast it out on facebook where anyone can see it. Either way, what he'll ultimately find is a) everyone already knew if they didn't already suspect it, and b) no one really cares.

I also recommend growing a spine, because if you think this "gay bashing", as you call it, is bad, it's much much worse out in realspace icon_wink.gif

Eh, you've been spending too much time with Chucky. Some people need to walk out of the closet a little more slowly, it's just their nature. No matter how many people know or suspect. Ease up.

Get some lube and lighten up. When you can make fun of yourself, you KNOW you're well adjusted.

    Stewie is hilarious.

    Take a chill pill.

I like anal dilation. It helps with my hemorrhoids.

One of my friends, a 315 pound meat head, said to me one day..."Chuck, what's it feel like to be fucked up the ass?" I grinned, and I looked him in the eye, and I said "Fucking, Neato, BIll. Neato." He laughed his ass off. Chill, Dude.

You were making fun of somebody else, not yourself. But please... make fun of yourself... I'd like to hear it! icon_smile.gif

Stewie is a fictional gay baby from the super popular series "Family Guy."

Sorry that you're having so much trouble, and are disconnected from popular culture.

I know who Stewie is, even though I don't watch that show (I've heard it's funny, I just don't watch it).

That was talking about Stewie? If so, it went way over my head.

The closet only exists because people build it.

If at 22 years old, you don't have enough esteem to tell your good friend you like guys, you have lots of underlying issues. Usually, we mature by walking, into through, above, and beyond, obstacles, real, or imagined.

The military teaches young men that every day. Sports teach that to young men every day. Some folks do it intuitively / instinctively.

When you coddle a part, it only becomes weaker. You must strengthen it. Sometimes, that means some discomfort. Pain is often the feeling of weakness leaving the body.

There a no closets of gayness at our house. We won't have it.

Oh, well, he does look like a flamer. The little grin; the body posture; gayness everywhere. That's not bashing. That's the truth. Somebody needs to start getting honest, instead of making excuses.

He looks very gay in the pictures. That's what I think, yes I do. That's hardly bashing. Such a cry baby. The images SCREAM gay.

The saying goes, "Everybody knows I'm gay but me."
