Some days, like today, I have to work at a desk for 8 hours...

How do you all overcome BOREDOM and lack of BEING PHYSICAL @ work?

And, on days like this it is hard to feel motivated to workout and run before or after work!

    What to do?!?!?

    Well, perhaps... ;)

Reading, the internet, and music are keeping me from getting too bored.

But, the main issue here is that I would rather be physically active @ work!

    Grr.

Maybe I ought to become a firefighter or fitness instructor instead of a hotel manager!

Drink a lot of water so that you have to get up and go to the bathroom every 5 minutes. Then in the bathroom do a little dance.

I've seen a number of vids on things you can do at your desk that won't get you in trouble like jerking off! Try searching on YouTome or Bodybuilding.com. I couldn't find anything on RJ, tho I think there have been vids on stuff you can do at your desk or in your cubicle. At least you could get one of those gadgets you squeeze to strengthen your grip and forearm. You could probably do a lot of stuff with a flexband or tube.

    Good idea...

Do a little dance, make a little love...in the bathroom, alone, during work time.

    Love it.

Being at your desk all day long really sucks. I usually go to the bathroom 2 floors up from mine, allowing me to jog up the stairs a few times per day. Then just getting up every now and then to hang out in a friends office helps.

I manage a bed n breakfast and I live in the manager's loft 2 stories up from the front desk. I am going to find more reasons to run up and down the stairs during my work days...

At least I will burn some extra calories and stretch my legs.

I worked at a telephone reference desk for two years. The lack of exercise really bugged me. I used to walk to pick my lunch up at a local restaurant, or even skipped lunch and walked around the downtown area. If you are in a cold climate…well then, you might as well jerk off in the bathroom everyday until spring.icon_biggrin.gif

I'm @ work right now...NO MOTIVATION whatsoever. I don't think I would workout or run if I was off work today either!

    GRR.

I think it is simply time for a career change,

Like driving you should stand up and move every 2 hours.
Why not do what I do, come in early and take your lunch break and go to the gym. I am about 3x more efficient if I do that.

Lack of motivation is part of the problem- which just began in the past few days. I was on a week-long vacation and it is difficult getting back to work [BORING AND SLOW TIME @ the lodge this week].

I will try to get into the habit of running in the AM and a short workout during lunch break.

    Thanks,

    Joe
