Posted this by accident in another forum:
I'm going to be in Vegas for the big rockabilly weekender www.VivaLasVegas.net in April. It's 4 days of bands, vintage clothes, vendors, dance classes, meeting folks from around the country/world etc. and I was just wondering if there's anything going on that I def. should see. Last time I went to this event it is so engulfing that it was hard to get away. This time I'd like to maybe see something else. Any ideas?
    Thx in advance!

As with any big city, ask the locals... TA DA I'm here. LOL

See the fountains at Bellagio every 15 mins, while there check out the atrium inside. Eat gellato and walk the strip. April is good weather here. Bodies exhibition at Tropicana is fricken awesome. Walk the canals of Venice at Venetian. Neon light show in Downtown every hour. Walk the local art district down there too. Visit the shops there too, lots of different vintage, harley, everything off the wall kinda stores. Opportunity villege, one of a kind vintage thift store. Spen $150 on any Cirque Du Soleil show, it'll be the highlight of your trip. Hike Red Rock canyon, its bout 20 mins from the Strip. Rollercoasters at NY NY, Circus Circus, Primm and Sahara. Shop every retailer possible on the Strip. Work out at Las Vegas Athletic Club (LVAC) and hang with the locals.

As for the "gay" things, theres the fruit loop where five bars are in a loop. Krave at Planet Hollywood is a mega club where all the boyz/men are. Blue Moon resort a clothing optional resort.

    Its Vegas.... have fun.

Last time I went to Vegas, I saw Charo. However, I believe that they blew up the hotel where she used to perform.

I try to go to Vegas at least once a year, maybe more depending on my finances.

For me, It's the energy and the atmosphere. I love going to the different shops and walking the strip and walking through the hotel lobbies!! I will eventually catch a show (lol!!) sometime in the near future!! I've stayed at the Venetian (FANTASTIC), LUXOR(Nice but dated) and the Mirage(also nice but dated). Working my way up to the Bellagio and the Wynn resorts. A coworker and his girlfriend are there right now for the first time and I can't wait to hear what he has to say!!!

SurfnAsian is totally correct!!!! You have to pull yourself away and experience Vegas.
