Just stop thinking and vote that way. But if you want to be a GOOD Democrat here are some prerequisites:

1: You have to believe that AIDS is spread by lack of Federal Funding.

2: You have too believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read, is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

3: You have to believe that there was no art before Federal Funding.

4: That gender rolls are artificial, and homosexuality is natural.

5: You are against capital punishment but support abortion on demand.

6: You have to believe that global temperatures are less effected by cyclical, documented changes in the earths climate, and more effected by Yuppies driving SUVs.

7: You have too believe that business creates oppression, and government creates poverty.

8: You have to believe hunters don't care about nature, the loony activists from Seattle do.

9: You have to belive taxers are to low, and ATM fees are to high.

10: You have too believe that Hillery Clinton is really a Lady.

11: You have to believe that the only reasion Socialism hasn't worked is because anywhere it's been tried, is because the right people haven't been in charge.

12: You have too believe that s Republican telling the truth belongs in jail, but a liar and a sex offender belongs in the White House.......

You might be a Democrat if:

You said, " we really should call the ACLU about this."

You ever based on the phrase, " But they can afford the tax hike because........."

You think Ralph Naker makes a lot of sense.

You think solar energy is being held back by those greedy oil companies.

You think the state of Florida should of tried to reform Ted Bundy.

You think Political patronage describes the Kennedy family.

You actually believe NY Times & Washington Post

You trust Ted Kennedy when he said she was driving.

You admire the Swedish Welfare system.

You go to Gay Pride day parades so the no-one can call you homophobic.

there are too many stupid things here to attack from your arguments being straw men to lack of spelling, but i'll just many focus on the fact that you don't even live in america and yet you feel perfectly comfortable talking about it, almost like those people who claim cyclical climate changes, who don't even know where the ozone layer is located in the atmosphere..

Spelling now whats that? Bring in the Gram-ma Nazis, not been a thread about them in sometime. But many threads demeaning gay republicans, and I'm not one of them either. But since American policy can effect, and infect my country and the world, just look at the last financial whirlwind, that started in the US off A, and tuned into a financial tornado, that engulfed the world. So I'll reserve my right to comment on American politics.

Is there not allegedly a whole in the Ozone layer above Oz, and a great big whole in the documentation in the paper work promoting climate change? They did the math all wrong.

There's no alleged "hole" (you have a poor sense of homonyms). It's quite measurable the science is universally accepted on it. That's the thing you people like to do; you like to say it's in "debate." It really isn't and is just a marketing ploy on behalf of those would are destroying the earth for their own gain. And again, you speak as if you actually know anything about climate science. Please don't even attempt to talk about an issue you have never studied (you can't perform open heart surgery just because you watched Grey's Anatomy). Do you even know the difference between weather and climate without looking it up?

A republican and a Democrat were walking down the street together, when they come to a homeless person. The republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his business for a job. He took $20.00 out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

The Democrat was very impressed, and when they come to another Homeless person, he decided to help. he walked over to the homeeless person, gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Republicans pocket and gave the homeless person$ 50.00.

Now you understand the diffrence between a Republican and a Democrat.

Pattison tests the good will the US has for Australia and its people. I can honestly say I've always heard very positive and enthusiastic things from Americans about Australia, and nary a negative word or feeling. The US may well be Australia's biggest fan club.

But then we have the dilemma of a Pattison, who revels in making factually erroneous and highly insulting statements about us. Much as I prefer to handle my own problems myself, I wonder if the more effective approach is to ask his fellow countrymen here to clobber this moron for us? Maybe then he'll listen? Surely they don't agree with him, and are humiliated by his antics in their national name.

Did your mother never tell you that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?
First of all there is debate on the causes of climate change. There are many scientist, regardless of people like you who try to stop debate by saying there is concensus, who are showing different things than what you want us to beleive. In fact I think the IPCC had to revise some of it's findings after they were forced to admit that there is no scientific evidence that glaciers in the Himalayas are melting. Not a marketing ploy, tell that one to AL Gore who went from being worth $3 million to over $10 million due to Global warming.! What about the investigation of Michael Mann by Penn State? And the others involved in "Climategate"? I'm sure you have no idea about the study that just came out showing that the repair of the hole in the ozone could lead to the melting of Antarctica? I'm sure you have no idea who Richard Lindzen is, nor anything about his work! You are trying to speak as if you know something about climate change and you seem to know less than nothing about it. Please take your own advice and not attempt to talk about an issue you obviously know little about !
Why not speak to the issues instead of personally attacking someone? Are you afraid someone will find out you don't know as much as you think you do ?
Go back to your glass house and stop throwing stones! It doesn't feel very good to have someone dismiss you for being a petulant child , does it ?

    1. First, not really a debate. Yes, you will find people who are scientists who disagree, but the overwhelming majority (over 90 percent) of climatologists (let's really consider them over others since it is their forte) don't say it's up for debate. That's like saying because there is a small percentage of scientists who believe in creationism and intelligent design that evolution (another scientific theory, like the theory of gravity) is in debate among the scientific community.

    2. That small inaccuracy about the time line of the Himalayas doesn't disprove the rest of the report, which is a mammoth document; odd how there aren't other inaccuracies being flaunted. If you're going to discount thousands of scientists in a collaborative project over one scientists blunder you're missing the point. Secondly, if you haven't read it, you can't talk about it.

    3. I have no idea where Al Gore's money came from, and it's spurious to suggest it's from global warming unless you have seen his tax returns. Furthermore, the money he did bankroll, if indeed that's how he earned, isn't even a fraction of the money spent by corporations on lobbying efforts to relax climate change legislation.

    4. About Michael Mann, see http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/feb/01/climate-emails-sceptics

    5. You totally missed the ozone connection. The hole in the ozone layer coupled with global warming caused weather patterns to change and increase winds, which has cooled Antarctica; however, as the hole repairs itself, the winds will relax and the full effect of global warming, not the fault of the ozone layer, will warm the continent and melt it.

    6. Richard Lindzen doesn't disprove global warming because he is one scientists from MIT who doesn't believe it. I met another professor at MIT who told me AIDS is not real and the way to cure cancer is to eat all organic food. A body of science dictates theories, not one man.

    7. I studied this stuff, I continue to study it, and I teach it at the collegiate level. If you're going to attack me, please be aware that I do have credentials to discuss the matter, though I have no idea what yours are, but judging by your misunderstanding and selective interpretation of information I have to call them into question.

    8. I call people on what they say; there's no need for character assassination. Yes, I called Pattison out on his rant, but I called what he said out, not him as a person. You talk about not making personal attacks, but nowhere in what I said is akin to "Please take your own advice and not attempt to talk about an issue you obviously know little about !
Why not speak to the issues instead of personally attacking someone? Are you afraid someone will find out you don't know as much as you think you do? True enough, and there's a prime example about 35 miles south of me living on South Beach. Still, I had hoped to enlist the help of Pattison's fellow countrymen in curtailing his relentless insults and calumnies. Or at least in refuting them about our country.
