    So, do guys actually like'em?

I'm not a big fan personally, I'd prefer to spend time with someone or get a funny email or sms (text message) or something like that, ya know.

I've gotten them a few times from my ex, usually roses on valentines day and they are nice and all but I'm not a fan of roses really I suppose it was sentiment more then anything but that's the only time I've ever gotten them.

If anyone was to send me flowers I'd prefer Daffodils since they are my favorite, they also happen to be a bulb, look gorgeous in the sun, don't smell like much but they are very cheery same for sun flowers.

But anyway, does anyone feel they are a bad thing to get?
hmmm I should rephrase that, I didn't mean they are a "bad thing to get" I was meaning.. well.. that they'd prefer not to get them or maybe not appreciate flowers or something, I"m not totally sure really..

I don't care to receive them myself, usually have no use for them. I'm very careful to whom I give them, knowing some guys will be strongly offended, or mildly annoyed, as I am myself when the recipient. I know I can give them to my partner, for the right occasion., but he won't waste any flowers on me, which is wise.

But I do decorate with cut flowers, especially for my table settings, and I certainly don't dislike them per se. And I do give them when someone's in the hospital, where even I appreciate them during my own hospital stays. Anything's better than looking at bare hospital room walls, and it's a reminder that people are thinking about you, the traditional get-well gesture.

Take them or leave them...... there just an uncreative gift. I can think of some better gifts to give

I received a valentines gift from a secret RJ admirer (who since confessed). Beats flowers any day icon_twisted.gif

Yes. I think flowers in a vase do a lot for a room. Bill likes getting them too. He likes growing them especially.

I definitely like flowers. Seeing them boosts my mood.

Over the winter I try to keep blossoming plants in the house. In spring, summer and fall I keep cutting gardens. Right now I'm in the process of setting up grow lights to be able to rotate flowering plants in and out of the house all year.

I do like them. Unfortunately, my boyfriend is allergic, so I don't get them very often.

Absolutely not a bad thing. The last time I go flowers from a boyfriend, the women in the office didn't and threatened to kill their boyfriends and husbands.

Gardening is a passion of mine; traffic slows in front of my house.

I don't have the heart to ever take cuttings but love the tranquility of a bouquet on my mantle.

Flowers are beautiful. They are full of life, vibrant color, and affection, as a result of whomever came bearing them of course. Flowers can come off as being uncreative or somewhat bland, however, the fact that someone dear to you gave them to you should make a world of difference.

I've never gotten them before, but my favorites are Snapdragons. If I got some of them, that would make my day.

You can have the florist cut the anthers off lilies. There are pollenless sunflowers available now. That's two that immediately come to mind as safe for allergy sufferers.
