Here I talked trolls in my other thread.. and one day later another interesting point of discussion....
Knowing the difference between a nice looking friendly straight guy..... and a hot gay man asking questions.

Damn those YMCA locker rooms! Kidding, but it is interesting what can happen. A day after the troll event I went in after my workout and waited for a second for a very nice looking 30 something guy remove his stuff from the locker adjacent to mine. I'm always very polite and remarked about barging in next to him.

He was very nice and took the lead in asking me (since he has seen me there: 1) Do you come here often? 2)Do you work around here? and 3) What do you do for a living? and 4) Introduce himself with his first name prior to me. Generally I take the lead with questions, but he had no hesitation in asking me a number of questions.... and also mentioned his girl friend when we were talking about the newest YMCA branch in the Wichita area.

So... Was he a hot gay man asking me questions or just a friendly guy.... I vote for the latter since I don't really know any better. I wasn't offended by his questions and it seemed very natural.

How do you take someone like that?

As someone who is offering conversation. I wouldn't think too much more of it, expecially if he mentions his girlfriend.

Now if he proceeds to suck me off, I may vote he's gay

Why can't all straight be rude and ignore all other guys except drooling over girls when they pass by? and why can't all gay men just do the opposite and blink fast when interested.

It would certainly be easier, but takes some of the mystery out of it, I kind of like mystery. I have also made some good friends with straight guys that were just being cool and friendly.

Would I have made those friends if it were easy to tell gay from straight? Hard to tell.

LOL, no one go along with that. then again, I want to be able to pick out a guy from a distance, so maybe the blinking thing will work.

Since he mentioned his girlfriend in the normal course of chatter, I would say he is straight.

If he were bi and interested in knowing you in the biblical way, I doubt he would have mentioned her...at least not right off.

If he were gay, he wouldnt have a girlfriend.

I would take it as getting lucky and meeting a decent person who can hold a conversation...on a topic other than himself.

He's a friendly straight guy who assumes that you are straight like him.The thought of what your sexual preference is probably did not go through his mind. Enjoy the fact that he seems to like you, and be his buddy. (try not to drool, have your pupils dilate while talking to him, or getting a hard-on, obviously.)
