    So, tomorrow is my birthday,
and today I got an early birthday present from my boyfriend, (we've been togheter two weeks, been dating for a month or so) after hours of begging so I could open my present, I finally convinced him and got a man purse!

Wow, I really hope he didn't notice my face but I didn't liked it at all, and I am more confused that he didn't noticed I'm not that kind of guy, I wear jeans and a sweater pretty much to everything, not the kind of guy that likes to dress well, Im always rehearsing, dacing, practicing, etc, so have several changes in my car, It's not just a manpurse, its one of those Guess Man purses for metrosexual guys, I do aprecciate it, but I feel bad since I will never use it, but dont want to hurt his feelings icon_sad.gif

give it a go dear, I've a murse, actually it's a messenger bag, but I call it a murse anyway, it's a diesel one called globefish, I carry all sorts of crap, including some green bags, camera, wallet, keys, mobile, breath mints (I just like the taste of'em) business cards plus personal ones, change, mobile phone great, things I need to carry, plus a nifty place to shove crap icon_smile.gif

Plus he's only known you a month, how perfectly do you want him to know you already?

I'm not gonna lie, I'd like to use one, they seem very functional. A leather messenger bag or something.

    Not like this though

Maybe he thought you were tired of carrying the huge shoulder bag seen in one of your profile pics?

    It's not my style either.

But have the balls to tell the poor guy... or you may get more gifts you have no use for in the future. You CAN do it politely, while expressing your appreciation for the thought, and telling him that you hope he would tell you if the situation is ever reversed. Maybe he has the receipt and you can go pick something out that you would use.

If his feelings are hurt, his skin is too thin and needs to be toughened up anyway.

This. Sort of. As a general rule, I don't like gifts. I don't tend to like 'stuff'' of any kind, so almost every gift disappoints. Just appreciate that he cared enough to spend his hard earned money on something he believed you would like. That is the point of a gift anyway.

Is this all it takes to meet the definition of a "boyfriend"???? ... icon_eek.gif

Personally, I am not surprised that his gift didnt hit the mark. You guys just met, for criminy sake.

    Two weeks....you barely rate a b'day card.

No wonder some guys have so many "exes." They count every guy they ever met at a bus stop! ... icon_lol.gif

Oh, I bet he regifted the bag. ... icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Well if I'd been in a guy on a regular basis (or vise versa), I would expect at least a Facebook Happy Birthday if he wished for it to continue.

Even though an Aquarian is a hodge podge of contradictions, they expect other people to be able to read their mind in regards to a birthday or Christmas present.

I don't think any aquarius will like any material presents, until the complements from third parties chime in, and then they like it.

I think the best presents for an aquarius would be tickets to an event with lots of people in attendance and that is loud, bright, and boisterous. Good seats to a basketball game that might get on TV, or a rowdy music concert by a group that has already had success, but not everyone has heard of yet.

Any gift that might come off as an opinion of their personal style will most always be considered offensive.

This is my bag, which serves me well.

In all seriousness, you can't expect a guy you've only been going out with for a month to peg your gift perfectly.

Coach makes some exquisite briefcases and such ... however ... guilt keeps me from looking too much into getting one. it's the fact that they're made from leather ... I get antsy at the fact that my shoes are made from synthetic leather. sigh, I'm an idiot.

I agree with most everyone: give it a try. They are much more functional than anything else.

As gay as you may think they look, they aren't. Carrying a Chanel tote on the other hand, now THAT is gay.

And just because you wear sweatshirts and jeans all the time, it doesn't mean that you still can't rock it. A bag is versatile. Shoes, not so much.

Besides, every single European carries a messenger bag. And Europeans are cooler than Americans (at least in my opinion). icon_rolleyes.gif

THAT too!! You guys have known each other for a MONTH! Unless you've told him that you didn't like bags, then that'd be one thing, but you didn't. In fact, your pictures say otherwise. Haha.

I really like that bag, but the fact that it's Coach turns me off. Gimme Burberry or D&G.
