2 years ago I got skin infection from too much summer cycling and sweating without making sure I was dry. It left behind two dark brown patches on my thighs that look terrible. Any way to fade them? Will they ever go away? I've learned my lesson about staying dry though LOL.

Your best best is probably to see a dermatologist for something prescription to fade them. Barring that, you could look into moisturizers aimed at evening skin tone. Neutrogena has some intended for the face, but it might work.

A lot of Asian skin care lines have great "lightening" and "fading" products. Shiseido is available at Macys and is nominally priced. Look for ingredients like Kojic acid. There is a huge market for these types of products so the actual products are becoming more result oriented.

I agree with the previous posters. There's a lot that can be done nowadays with lasers and creams, but you'll need to see a good dermatologist. Hopefully there's a cream for it. That's the most affordable option. Lasers aren't necessarily cheap (expect $1K-$5K) , but they can do amazing stuff if creams don't work.
