That's a joke. We did that in 3 hours yesterday afternoon. If it even took that long.

I know! But for DFW Metroplex this is MAJOR snow!! We just passed the snowiest winter on record for Philly, Baltimore & Washington DC. Believe it or not, city of Vancouver BC (host of 2010 Winter Olympics) - less than an inch this winter!!

Meteorology Gopidy-Glop: ENSO and NAO are both favoring more snow to the east, and less on the far west coast.

Tell your ENSO and NAO that Mike Stratmoen wishes death on them if they predict any more snow for him.

Uh. It snows regularly in the Sierra Madre. That's part of the western areas that should see an uptick, associated with the strong storms that keep slamming California.

/Also one incident isn't enough for a trend.

Looking off my balcony here at Lewisville Lake, TX, USA....moments ago.

Lewisville Lake is just behind the trees, and the shot is aimed north.

10 inches of snow is predicted here in North Texas tonight.

The batting cage collapsed across the street.

This is looking south towards old town Lewisville from the intersection of Lake Park Road and Mill Street (Mill Street is the road on the left, and the buildings in the distance are the Corps of Engineers Offices). The shot is looking across the nine hole golf course. The 18 hole course is to the left in the shot. Lewisville Lake Dam is directly south and just a 1/8 mile east.

I don't envy you guys. I was shoveling our driveway non-stop. And then when I was at my aunt's house I had to shovel hers because the second blizzard hit. And I was out of power since last Friday. Apparently it came back on Wednesday, but nobody at Pepco's emergency line knew even when I called today.

I'm just glad to be home. And federal agencies in the area are open tomorrow so it's back to work.

There's talk that Texas is joining the big 10 network, maybe Mother Nature's just trying to get them ready for the cold they'll be playing in.
