Appointments, meetings, classes, exams, projects, dates, trips, and more! What tools and/or methods do you use to make sure that you are able to accomplish all that you need to in a day, week, month, and year?

How effective is your current strategy? Is there anything you would like to change?

    I'll go first.

I have two giant dry-erase 1-month calendars attached to the wall above my desk, and I use both religiously. Since I am not always at home to update my calendars, I use an agenda when I am out of the house, and then copy any information to the calendar when I get home.

I think I could live without the agenda, but if I didn't have those calendars, my life would collapse into ruins.

If I were to change anything, it would be to replace my agenda with an iPhone or a Blackberry (those are too expensive for me right now) - but the wall calendars will never go.

I'm simple. I just use a small planner and have a dry erase board in my office. My strategy is effective as I am almost never late for appointments and pride myself on punctuality and professionalism.

Surprisingly just a plain old planner that is with me wherever I go. Most every day I am in meetings in different areas of Maine. Lately I have noticed though.............I need some more home time for myself.

    Blackberry, used in vain.
If I ever manage to actually get my life organized I'll let you know.

I run my international organization by writing notes on paper napkins.

For work, I rely on my outlook calendar and task schedular. For personal, I keep appointments, notes, etc. in my iPhone. Don't know what I'd do without them!

My MobileMe account, synced with my laptop, my iPhone, and my work Mac. I can change a calendar, a contact, a bookmark, etc. on any of those devices and all the others change, too. I can't remember how I managed without it!

I have a day planner that I put everything in for each semester at the beginning. Each day for 4 months ends up being planned out. It kept me so organized in college, I would end up having 2 or 3 things to write/read, and they'd get done in a few hours, leaving me peace of mind to do whatever I needed to because I knew everything would be done on time if I followed the planner. I was kinda anal-retentive about it. I finish school in May though, and get a job, so I don't know how this arrangement might change.

I have 2 dry erase boards: 1 on my fridge and 1 right by my front door.

The one by my front door is for regular day stuff like appointments.
The one on my fridge is for food, supplies and daily house chores.

    It works for me.

Its imperative I keep everything in order for tax purposes. I use a blackberry, Quicken, a regular calender for my assistants in my office (and a small one for mileage in my vehicle) and a very organized filing system for receipts. It works, but I work at it every day.

    blackberry bold and that's all.

being self employed with often varying schedule, it's rather useful.
problem is when it decides to die on me like it did on dec 31st.
