Please go to www.VoteToImpeach.org (ImpeachBush)to vote for impeachment, and to send a message to your congressman to back impeachment, also call the Judiciary Committee chairman Conyers of Michigan to back impeachment by starting impeachment hearings. this group now has 978,700 votes to impeach, help them make it to 1 million. Today and tomorrow there is special effort to get backers, right now there are more in congress signed on to impeach Bush/Cheney than there were for impeaching Nixon, The effort starts with cheney then will include bush

Oh, Good Lord, talk about a HUGE waste of time. Bush or Cheney will never be impeached, nor should they be. Nuff said.

You're right that they won't be, but it is 100% certain that if the act of impeachment is ever going to be meaningful again, these two need to be impeached forthwith.

    uhhhh....REALLY 'nuff said.

I admit, I find the whole impeachment thing quite quixotic (always liked that word...). I support it whole heartedly for the way Bush, Cheney and the rest lied about WMD (here I will site the Yellowcake from Niger scandal and the 16 words, the Downing Street Memo, and Colin Powell's absurd speech to the UN, just for starters).

But no, It's not going to happen.

I'd love to see him out...but honestly what would impeachment do right now other than poison the democratic party by making us seem petty and irreverent to the needs of everyday americans.

The needs of every day americans involve war and two steps back ? I swear anyone who watches a speech by bush gets their IQ lowered by 10 points with each passing hour. The act of impeachment has only ever been used once, it needs to be used again to show that people still have power over their government, not the other way around.

How gays can even support bush is beyond me. Sounds to me like a self loathing principle.

Death_dodge !!! I couldn't agree with you more !!! on every point you made !!! to those who don't see Impeachment as important or legitimate action. Imagine a General about to retire, but he has one last thing he wants to accomplish against a long term foe. Problem is, no-one shares his goal, and he cannot get the go ahead to attack point A. so this General Makes up some stories based on some indefinate information he has that is questionable, to exagerate the need for his desired action against point A. So this general based on this story of his, gets the go ahead. During his action against point A, 30 of his men are killed, and the action creats a lot more problems than it solved. Several of his Sergeants discover during this action against poiint A, that the reasons for going in were completely BASELESS !!! Does anyone think that this General would just be retired with nothing said about those 30 men who lost their lives, let alone the chaos the Generals lies caused? BUSH/CHENEYS's LIES have killed nearly 4,000 of our menand ladies, and 10's of thousands of Iraqi's and untold damage to our economy, chaos in the world, enriched their previous and current cronies. Completely subjected the seperation of powers in our constitution and broke many laws in the process !!! HELL YES THEY NEED TO BE IMPEACHED !!!

The impeachment process has been started several times in our history, but never has there been anyone more deserving than Bush/Cheney. They have lied to us over and over, concealed secret dealings that the public should know, usurped personal freedoms, undermined our national reputation, endangered our security, and ignored growing environmental perils all in an effort to take control of the world's oil.

Rickland saidWhy impeach the man when you he"s up for re-election; allyou have to do is NOT vote him back in office.PERIOD

We didn't, but the Republicans had the past 2 elections rigged in the critical states of Florida and Ohio and other places so that the candidates the people voted for didn't get elected. This is part of the reason that they need to be impeached. If considering all the illegal and unconstitutional acts that this administration has done, for them not to be impeached would indicate that this sort of behavior is tolerated.

Anyone who still thinks that the US is the freest and most democratic nation in the world is seriously deluded.

    a) I gave to VoteToImpeach.org fifty bucks about three years ago... not that I really thought the "Ignorant in the Oval Office" and his "Evil Puppet Master" would actually get kicked out, but just to show the public at large that there is actually some dissent out there.

    b) the fact hat congress can't get this going is only the fault of the American people, not the fault of congress and/or the democrats.

    c) Can't wait for 01/20/2008 to come soon enough... icon_rolleyes.gif

I hate to say it guys, but impeachment is a political process and the political will is not there to impeach Bush.

The Democrats cannot even stand up to an unpopular President because they're too afraid to take a firm position on anything. It is THE major negative about Democrats. I wish, for once, Democrats would develop a spine and raise some hell. Republicans do it all the time and the Democrats need to to do it too.

I couldn't agree with you more dfrw. The republicans have gotten away with intimidating democrats for too long. I wish we had some democrats in office that were not afraid of taking a stand. The republicans got away with impeaching Clinton for far less because they were not afraid of the repercussions and saw the value in taking down this democratic president.

It's time we as citizens and our democratic leaders take a lesson from Larry Kramer. We need to be as loud and obnoxious as necessary to get what we need and defeat the republican war/hate machine.

Dept. of Justice Mukasey's testimony last thursday is another very impelling reason to IMPEACH CHENEY and BUSH !! He flat out stated after these two finally admitted to torturing (ordering waterboarding)The his office of justice would make no such effort to investigate the torture nor back any Congressional efforts to prosecute either for ignoring congress attempts to get supeone witnesses, nor if they exposed anyone who tortured, or ordered it !!! So there goes both the Congress and the Dept. of Justice as seperate powers to oversee the Executive (presidents) office. So its official now according to these actions if not confronted and turned around that we have KING GEORGE as our DICTATOR !!! I understand that today Mr Conley whose decision it is to lead the Judiciary Committee into Impeachment proceedings is strongly considering starting impeachment in discussions today. GOD HOW I HOPE THEY DO START IMPEACHMENT !!!!!!

I signed this thing a long time ago... thanks for the concern though. It would nice to have each a democrat and a republican get impeached back to back.
