If you could change something about yourself, what would it be?

I'm not just wondering about physical features and whatnot, it could be anything.

For me, I'd like to be less judgemental and more patient and understanding with people. (I'm working on this). Be a little less uptight, be more of a relaxed, go with the flow, type of person.

Physically, I'd change my smile, which I absolutely hate. I get a lot of compliments on my eyes, but they're a bit down-turned, so I'd change that, have thicker eyebrows, and maybe be an inch or two taller.

    Shawn, judgemental??? I can't imagine...

For me this is a fairly easy question. I can be far too intense about some issues. Have seen life in black and white and it isn't. Need to adopt a more laid back view (and have made real progress on this) Much different than when I was 25 or 30.

Physically, I would like to shrink the size of my large ears, flatten my stomach, and lengthen my thighs.

Personality-wise, I would like to be as positive and inspirational in life as I am at work. I am far more sarcastic in my personal life, and I don't necessarily like it. I also have a tendency to feel narcissistic.

Change?? Me????? Why, of all things...! I'd sooner change the lot of you.

Okay, totally kidding. It's one of those days. Seriously, though...I'd love to be a bit taller. And have the metabolism I had at 20. And sometimes I think I have a little too much trouble taking anything seriously.

Oh bosh, ZD, taking things not seriously is what allows us to live to the ripe old age of...let's see, how old am I again? I keep forgetting...

There are some decisions I made early in life that I would change. For example, I hated school and barely made it through a B.A. The thought of any more education was complete anathema. Now I think I probably should have gone to law school after all.

I also think maybe I could still learn how to have a decent relationship. I've proven lousy at it.

Maybe that's just cuz you're so ripe. Hey, you said it! icon_razz.gif

I sometimes think I spent too long getting an education I'm not particularly using, but hey, who knows? Maybe I'll need to know all the useless trivia shoved into the back of my mind...til then, there's Caslon's threads.

    ZD--

Yes, I've always thought my education basically has me well-suited to be an entertaining weekend guest.

Actually I love to "dare"... that way you get a look at what someone is really like.

I just came from shaving my head and came up with something else I'd like to change about myself:

Remembering to keep my clippers fully charged so I get more than half my head done before it dies.

I would like to be satisfied with how i look and not try to change things I don't like. sometimes the best way to change what you don't like is to accept and find a way to love it.

I'd change my PMS schedule so I'm not on the same cycle as the hags in my office...either that or suggest midol be put in the vending machine.
I guess I would purify language and not drop the f bomb.

Career and where I live ... but that's changing shortly.

Honestly ... I love being bald, but there are times I miss having a full head of hair. I started balding in my mid 20s and I kinda miss it.

Cognitively: I would like a better memory.

Physically: I could do with lower cholesterol

Emotionally: I'd like to have the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Well I'm in the process of changing my body so Physical is taken care of.

I guess I find myself too shy, even though once I get to know a person I break out of that shell and can sometimes talk their ears off lol.icon_rolleyes.gif

My co-workers wouldnt believe me on shyness since I talk to the customers ALOT but that is different then trying to talk to someone you like/have the hots for.icon_wink.gif

I wish I had the metabolism of a hummingbird like my brother. He eats twice as much as I do and sits on his ass watching NASCAR all day and drinking beer and still has a 29" waist. icon_mad.gif
