okay in truth I've never watched an episode of this show... so.. I only understand the concept of it.

But, when did a bunch of people trapped on an island get houses and guns??

You really need to watch it from season 1 to understand what is going on. If I just tuned in at the start of this season I would be like, what the hell is going on.

The Lost wiki is a good place to gain some understanding..

Without getting into the dizzying details. The guns, houses and such are the remnants of a secret scientific enclave that lived and worked on the island. Where they went and what happened to them? Without spoiling it for you too much, think Lord of the Flies, but with very smart yet extremely disturbed people. The survivors are merely caught up in a much bigger crazier scenario.

It's one of those shows that you have to start watching from the beginning and follow continuously. It builds upon itself from Day 1.

One of my favorite shows on TV.

Oh, and that's Merry, not Pippin icon_smile.gif

Tanker, there have been other groups on the island for some time. But "researchers" came to the island in the '50s and discovered hostiles and sort of battled it out for decades.

you can watch it from day 1 and you still won't understand what's going on. it is clearly the most scattered, incomprehensible show ever produced.... a big yawn.

It's a show where crazy shit happens all the time for no real reason, and Matthew Fox walks around being perfect and hot.

I watched the pilot and second episode, and was relieved to find that it was awful.

I saw part of the first episode and I just thought to myself, "if I get into this, I'll have to watch all 5 seasons." So thinking about it made me lazy, plus, I don't have the time.

The music had me and so did the characters. Great show I think. A little drawn out somewhat predictable is some sense but still freaking awesome.

I nearly had kittens when the island disappeared. Crazy.

It's like a mini-series that should have been over in three days.

That depends on who's watching and what they're capable of understanding. Not that there haven't been some complexities along the way. icon_wink.gif

If you missed even one single season you missed the whole show, you just cant follow up. As soon as they announced the series finale I bought every season in bluray(1-5) I had already watched the whole thing but hell that was so many frigging years ago so I wanned to pretty much recap everything again so I could actually enjoy the final season. Im currently watching episode 9 from Season 5 cant wait to start watching Season 6, best show ever.
