i know that technically it makes sense because the luge is all about core strength, but some of the hottest olympic bodies are definitely to be found on the luge course. whereas many of the other winter athletes clearly have some awesome lower body builds, these lugers are just plain hot. and those asses? dayyyy-ummmm. mildly ironic since it's a sport where you're lying down the whole time. anyone else peep the luge hotness?

Totally agree! I was caught by surprise yesterday because I don't remember lugers being so hot before. I love how the cameras on the left side where they exit so that the lugers literally stick their asses in the camera as they get up. Damn! How can anyone not love the Olympics?

This thread seems kind of inappropriate considering what happened.

you're right. let's never speak of luge again except in hushed funereal tones.

instead let's celebrate the ultimate in olympic hotness...

There's a difference between "never again" and 48 hours after a horrific accident.

I've had to rewrite this msg three times to avoid saying something too harsh. So, lets just agree to disagree on this issue.

celebrating the hotness of olympic athletes in no way diminishes or demeans the tragedy of that athlete's death. i didn't suggest that that event was trivial or comic. yes, it was sad, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't celebrate all aspects of the olympics from the majesty of it to the hotness of the competitors. they're still competing in the luge. they're still celebrating their victories. one thing doesn't negate the other. don't be such a debbie downer.
