I have a close friend who is tall, hairy, dark features (tan skin, dark eyes, hair)... Just recently he got into his first serious relationship in a long time with a small, smooth, blond haired/blue eyed boy. I was so surprised because that just didn't seem to be his type at all! So we got to talking, and now I'm curious... icon_rolleyes.gif

Have you ever been in a situation or know of any in the gay community where two opposites have actually attracted? A punk rock and a prep, a muscle jock and a scrawny boy? I tend to think that most gay men have a certain type in their head, even if they say they dont.. and if a guy doesnt meet certain standards he wont pursue the relationship. But give me hope - Have you ever known of a scenario like this?

Yes they do. My bf and I have been together almost a year now. We are 15 years apart in age. If someone would have told me we would have lasted past a date or two I would have thought them plum nuts. We have never had a fight. He is wise well beyond his age. We have completely different likes, dislikes, and interests, yet it somehow works perfectly.

my boyfriend and i are both rather masculine, him less than me. and we like some of the same stuff, but our outlooks on life, and ideals are pretty much opposite on some things.
