Losing muscle mass?

I weighed myself about three weeks ago and was about 155 lbs. I weighed myself again yesterday and I'm still 155 lbs. The strange thing is that my muscle size appears to have reduced. I don't measure the size of my chest and biceps but just by looking, it appears like I loss some muscle mass.

I have been doing more cardio so maybe what I lost was water weight or fat but I'm confused that the scale reads the same. Am I losing muscle mass and is it even possible for that to happen? If it is possible, when does it start happening and how can I prevent it? I'm trying to lose the extra fat and not my muscle mass.

If you're short calories, and you throw cardio in, and don't up your calories, muscle will be the first thing to go.....

    Gotta' fuel the furnace. Eat.

I wish this was easier. I have some stomach fat that is lingering around. I'm 5'7" 155lbs. I probably could lose 5 lbs or convert 5 lbs of fat into muscle. It really sucks because I want to get rid of the fat so I do cardio but my fat doesn't seem to go away. My muscle goes away instead.

Figuring out how many calories to eat to feed the muscles while losing excess fat can be so confusing and daunting some times. icon_sad.gif Thanks for you feedback.
